EH 101-102. One of the best professors UAB has to offer. As others have said, Mr.Stitt is very smart without being arrogant. More than willing to help students with papers (so making a good grade is dependent on your commitment) . Highly recommended-one of my favorite teachers (and I'm a science major)!

Really good teacher, hes very enthusiastic about the stories and is very supportive of students' opinions. He can be boring at times but mostly because the literature is boring. He teaches so well that I never read anything and understood most of everything.

Love this teacher. Nice man. Very kind and respectful towards students. His love of literature and poetry comes through in his teaching. Lit is not my thing, but he makes it a pleasure to go to class. Listen and take notes, and you should have no problems with his tests. No surprises. He is not out to get you (but he just may inspire you).

Class was REALLY boring, but not really his fault- the stuff he was supposed to be teaching us was horribly dry. A little tough at first, but I went to see him about a paper and after that, I never had a problem. Not too hard. Super-nice guy.

He is one of the best professors that I've had at UAB...he makes class interesting. He made me have a real interest in literature - before taking his class I could've cared less. He's incredibly intellegent but he isn't arrogant about it - he takes your thoughts into consideration. I would definately take another class taught by him!

He's the best teacher I've ever had at UAB. He's enthusiastic about what he teaches, he grades fairly, he provides helpful comments on graded papers, and even includes praise when applicable on your returned papers. His philosophical viewpoint makes for a very interesting class.

He is the best you can ever imagine. Extremely helpful, resourceful and knowledgeable person. He will help you in anything, in any subject. He is just like a friend to all. He spends hours with you if you need help on writing or want to know about something. He will never let you down. You can call his cell phone any time. He is very caring.

Great teacher!! I have never like to write but I really enjoyed this class. Dr. Stitt is super helpful and nice--he makes you feel very at home in the classroom. He really knows his stuff too. And he always gets papers back within 2 or 3 class meetings after they are turned in.
