Worst learning experience ever in my life. Not helpful to students, Homework is way too hard to help students learn. Errors and typos all over the lecture notes. Notes are inconsistent with the textbook. Most of the class are confused and lost.

Dr. Conlisk is AWESOME! Do the homework, go to class, ask questions...it's what college is all about. If something isn't clear, ASK! He is obsessed with sports and it's amusing! Take his class if you want to be an amazing engineer.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! His lectures are incoherent and incomprehensible the majority of the time. Sometimes he has a spark of brilliance and tells us what we're being tested on. Other than that, he consistently fails to make sense. The quizzes are a hit/miss-sometimes easy other times difficult. It's best to use the textbook and pray for a good TA.

Nice guy, awful professor. Prints out all notes, but they are full of errors and dont help at all. Has to be constantly corrected by students. Just read and take notes from the book. Tests problems were similar to practice tests. Go to class to do example problems, as he will hint to which will be on tests. Hard class made worse by this professor

I felt Terry did a pretty good job. If you took the time to do the homework, you can learn all the possible problems he could ask. If you ever ran into issues, he was always helpful in office hours. His sports obsession is amusing and maybe a little unnecessary, but he knows his stuff. Ignore the derivations and focus on the actual equations.

I didnt think he was as bad as the ratings say. his tests are very fair and straight forward, i mean he asks you short answer questions at the beginning (free points on an open book test) . I did crappy in the class but its hard sh*t.

Terry should have been a HS gym teacher/athletic coach--it's obvious he has a passion for sports. He also has a talent of confusing you completely as he stumbles over explaining a fluid subject. Best advice: read the book. Don't ask questions, he'll likely respond in a very short and arrogant tone. Tests are tough because they aren't predictable.

I agree with the evil turtle comment. Poor ability to teach, and was rude in office hours. Exams were not at all representative of HW but were open book (only somewhat helpful). Getting ahold of an old exam is your best bet to do well becuase he uses similar questions over and over. Overall, Conlisk is a very bad professor.

pretty bad professor. lectures are really unclear. The problems on the final were nothing like the hw, recitation, or book examples. one of the worst test-writers i've ever had.

Conlisk's lectures consist of him sharing useless sports trivia, reading off his Powerpoint slides, chastising people who arrive late, calling on the same 3 people, and then taking a random problem from the book and telling us to do it while he waltzes around in the front of class. He has an unnatural obsession with John Wooden, UCLA B-ball coach.

Hard to say here how I feel about this guy without getting flagged. Myself and another person asked him seperate questions during the final and he literally laughed out loud and walked out of the classroom (never tried to answer the questions). I showed up every day and did all my homework and got a D+. Never got below a B in any other ME course.
