Comment:

Many people are scared to take her classes because she's too liberal. But as a Republican in her class I had no problem with her. The one thing to note about this class is there is a lot of out of class and off campus work that needs to be done in order to pass.

Professor Speakman is hilarious and does not give a damn. She's a great professor, and her classes are by far the most enjoyable to attend. She is very disorganized (always late, gets papers back late, forgets a lot of things) but if you're looking for an easy class and an easy A, I would definitely recommend her.

I will not disagree that she is a VERY nice woman. She's a very warm person who cares about the students. HOWEVER, this woman is as liberal as they come. If you hint or try to speak your mind with right wing views, do not bother. Every single class I had to sit through liberal & feminist propaganda. I just learned to tune her out.

Cares about her students more than anyone on this campus, wants to see everyone succeed in and out of the classroom. Yes, clearly very liberal, but would never force an opinion on a student, and plays devils advocate for both sides. Easy grader, but will learn a lot if you care to. Will help you with everything from class to internships and life.

Neat approach to teaching. Enjoyed utilizing cases and managing them in our own ways with guidance from her. She had us purchase only a few chapters from the online book, which saved us a substantial amount of money. Very inspirational, I would definitely hope to have her as a professor again.

Took her for senior seminar and the subject was the environment. There was an assignment everyday but only 500 words. No 20 page paper but participation was worth 25% of your grade. There was a creative project that you could do by yourself or in groups. It had to relate to a quote and be connected to the environment.
