Professor Rose is the best professor Ive taken honestly. She isnt like other professors she is very straight up, and really nice. She has a good sense of humor if you need help with anything she will surely help you. Theres a few essays which are not that difficult but they are long, quizzes are really easy even if you dont study as much.

Dr. Karen Rose is a great inspiration to me in my tenure as an undergraduate student at Long Beach City College (LBCC). She provides office hours counseling, guidance & support, nurturing my academic scholarship & growth as a writer. Professor Karen Rose was thorough in all her teachings. She was very clear and direct on each lesson presented to the class. She always had a smile on her face and dressed very nice, so she brought a positive vibe to the classroom. She gave great feedback on essays and always provided assistance to a student when help was needed.

Professor Rose Is a very caring, thoughtful and encouraging teacher. I loved all the reading assignments and especially the class discussions. Will take her again, just to have the chance to analyze and think about prose with her. I took this class for fun, as a psych major, and will take her English 42 class if I can. Highly recommend her.

Most amazing and sweet english professor ever! Definitely take her, especially if you are in an upper level english class like english 3. she does grade attendance so show up. she assigns reading responses, but the readings are very interesting not too long so it's not bad. no midterm or final. she assigns three essays for throughout the semester.

I loved her so much as a professor! She is so sweet and kind. She makes lectures fun! There is 5 essays due and grammar quizzes which isnt that bad! Essays are easy topics and she gives a lot of feedback! Dont miss class because it is 10 points to show up. Would definitely take her again for another English class.

I recommend her to anybody she is very clear on the lesson shes teaching. Shes such a sweet person and makes the class so easy to understand. She can get sidetracked every now and then but its no big deal. Definitely would take again

Took Professor rose for a summer online course, fairly easy class, several discussion boards each week, 3 papers, 1 final research paper 8-10 pages long, weekly quizzes, no midterm or final... She responds to emails rather quickly, and is super understanding, caring and supportive !

Dr. Karen Rose is a great instructor. The textbook book is cheap and the novel you have to read is online. There's three essays (1 research paper which is 8-10 pages & 1 paper on the novel). She's a fast grader and a solid choice.

She's such a beautiful person inside and out. She's an amazing teacher who cares about her students and loves interacting with them too. Her class is an easy A, but the best part is that I actually learned things in her class, which I took 2 years ago that i still use in my writing today. Take her!

I took 3 English classes in one semester and her was my fave. She is clear on her expectations & encourages you to ask questions. Extremely genuine woman who loves what she does. Her class is more fun when more people participate in discussions so don't be shy; there is no wrong answer in her class. She chooses great readings so it's never boring.

Dr. Rose cares for her students alot. She gives out homework, but nothing you can't handle. She gives out quizzes about the topics we discuss, but nothing too major. She lets you choose your topic for the essays and she gives out the prompt in advance to work on it. When students are struggling, she will not let them keep struggling. Best prof!

Best English Prof you can take. Her grading is clear and her assignments are not demanding. She cares about her students and offers any extra help for those who may be struggling. I found her class very useful and enjoyable. I would def. take her again.

Dr. Rose is an amazing teacher that keeps the class engaged. There is never a dull moment and before you know it the class is over. If you struggle with the writing assignments, she is always available to help. This was the best class I've taken so far at LBCC.
