Try hard in his classes and you'll succeed. He's a through-and-through academic who expects students to study and be prepared for class - so if he's difficult to understand, it's likely that you didn't learn in theoryear training 1-4. Probably the most credible and brilliant mind in the music department. Also, the hottest professor I've ever met.

He is very knowledgeable and teaches with lot of passion. His method of teaching is not high tech but rather old school, which gives you a raw perspective of the material. I had him for 3 classes and was excellent.
