Took Daruty a long time ago and remember her. Was the type who would read from a book and write it on the board. Got into it one day regarding a paper I'd written. She almost flunked me because I question her "Actual Experience" in business. (NONE) Today I own my own business (No degree) and have forgotten more about it than she'll ever know.

Such a manageable and informative class. Taught me so much basic important information on personal finance. She gives study guides, so with those A'cing test is a breeze! Great class, you'll do great if you do the work, take professor Daruty!

She will keep you awake! I love this teacher. She gave me a B on another class, but an A on this one. She ridicules those students who are show offs, I thought that was great. In a way she teaches humbleness :). I would recommend her anytime. Don't expect a free lunch!!

She is a great professor. It is easy to get an A or B in her class. The semester include: 2 exams, your financial plan worksheets, and a final exam. The exams are easy. Just make sure to take advantage of her study guides. Her exams also include 2 essay questions(final has 4). Don't worry they're easy. You'll learn a lot from her. Good luck!!

She is funny and has great advice about life in general. She takes points away for lack of attendence, she is great at answering your questions, though some students she picks on if she thinks they are rude. She had study guides in her finance 8 course - she says she always has study guides in her classes. I would reccommend her, fairly easy + fun

First off, i got an A. But she will make you work for it. She teaches very well and gives you all the notes you will need for the Multiple choice / Essays on the tests. The final However is all Essays, ten of them. She gives the outlines for the Tests/Final two weeks beforehand. Make sure to have her check your essays. She was a wonderful Teacher.

She is a great teacher and she really knows her stuff. Once again, take good notes. ALSO you must have her check your outlines before a test. Shes EXTREMELY Helpful.I was on my way to an A but i forgot to show her my outline before the final so without her help I ended up with a B in the class.SO SHOW HER YOUR OUTLINES and an A or B is guaranteed.

She is very passionate about money and how to save it. And this class was all about that, and her methods of money madness. It's a little irritating hearing her talk about her wealth, but it's neat to learn how she got there. Easy if you pay attention, I didn't look at the book once.

Daruty is a great teacher. Although the subject matter of the class can be a bit complex and challenging at times, she does her absolute best to help you understand it better. I didnt have to read the textbook too much, because she gives VERY USEFUL notes. take good notes, they are VERY helpful in preparing for the tests.2 tests and a final.

Professor Daruty is the best teacher I've had at Pierce. You can tell she is very passionate about philosophy, and does an excellent job teaching it. You MUST go to every class because she gives you the outlines to the essays through the notes. Bottom line: study notes, go to class and bring your outlines to her and you'll get an A

She is a very devoted teacher, who goes out of her way to teach students. If you read the assigned reading and come to class and copy the notes off the board the exams will be easy because EVERYTHING, includng the essay responses, are DIRECTLY off the notes.
