Ken is a nice guy, but I dont care for him much as a teacher. I took a hybrid class and he was never around a computer unless he was in class. He was a kind of an easy grader, but his instructions/rubrics for assignments were very unclear. There were also tests every week from the textbook chapters and seminars you had to read for.

Unless you NEED to take this class, I highly suggest that you do not take this class. Ken is a really nice guy, but his instructions and due dates can often be unclear or confusing, especially for things he posts on canvas (partially due to numerous typos). That being said, the class is packed with good discussions and philosophy!

Ken was a good teacher but some of his work wasn't clear. When it came to the final, he kind of threw you out into the water with no life jacket. Very unclear, but he is very understanding and gives people the benefit of the doubt. At least two tests a week, but he leaves everything open and you can compete all the work at one time.

BEST professor at EvCC. Gives really informational lectures and homework relates exactly to what you're learning. Makes the students feel comfortable speaking and presenting. He wrote the textbook for our class & it's wonderful. I wish I was taking another one of his classes. Really helpful with any questions. Makes class really fun and enjoyable.

I have taken 4 classes now with Ken and still think he is a great teacher. He truly enjoys what he teaches. He does like to share his opinion a lot so if you don't like that beware. He is one of my favorite teachers at EVCC

Great teacher! I know some students found his due dates confusing, but he offers one sheet with all the due dates for the quarter and as long as you have that, you'll be fine. Lots f group projects, so participation in those and group discussions is very important. He really makes you think. I personally loved this class.

This class was an easy A if you do your homework. The homework is usually reading long passages, taking notes on videos and preparing for seminars. Oh also tests are important! So take notes in the book and study very hard for the tests ( I didn't do well on the tests hence the B.)

I read the reviews from other students before taking this class and I can honestly say most of them ended up being pretty true. He did however grade mostly on time for me. The best part of class was participating in the presentations but the class itself was confusing and I felt like at some times I was blindley guessing. Not my fav.

Dr. White really made me think about why I want to be a teacher much more in depth than I ever have. He is a perfect example of transformative teaching and I feel like I gained a lot of experience in this class. I'm happy it was my first college course, very relaxed. I had no anxiety about deadlines or tests.

Really made me think about why I want to be a teacher more in depth than I ever have. Very inspiring, makes sure you understand what we are discussing. Very laid back and as long as you do the homework before the quizzes you will stay caught up

Ken was a nice guy and teacher, but had some weak spots, his instructions are not clear and use of canvas is strange, he doesn't do due dates or remind you when things are due in class, you get told in the syllabus and that is it.

This is the second class I've taken with Ken. The syllabus was minimal at best. He didn't tell us how many posts were necessary to get full marks in discussions, and didn't grade anything (minus one assignment the first week) until the very end of the quarter. I wouldn't recommend taking any online class with him.

I can't tell if I like Ken or not. You get quizzed on two chapters a week and some of the questions are trick questions. The final presentation was kind of confusing but he does give you the benefit of the doubt. Get used to the word FRAMEWORK because you're going to be hearing it all the time.

I believe this is my 4th class with Professor White. He is a good teacher, very interesting, and even though I don't always agree with him, he has taught me a lot even outside of just the lessons we learn in class. Discussions are important to get into, but there can be a lot of controversy in his classes. Overall he is great and always means well.

We took quizzes off of the book and you get plenty of time to take them. Assignments are given based off the textbooks and there's a final group presentation at the end. Ken is a nice guy & pretty laid back, but sometimes,he's unclear when assignments are due. Overall, good intro to ed class and I'm taking him again next quarter.

Dislike this teacher. However is only teacher for most of the education classes at EVCC. He doesn't explain the rules for his homework clearly. Never knew what was due when. When ever my group had a question he would skip over us till the end. Going to be glad when I'm done with Education classes

Nice teacher, but doesn't keep up on grades which is hard. Likes to give his opinions more than I enjoyed, but he initiates good discussion. You will need a book and will need to be in class.

FACTS... Biggest peeve is that he doesn't post grades until the very end. You will need a book as all quizzes are based off the book. You need to be in class. He is a good teacher and class is full of discussion.
