Horrible, especially the attitude she has. she may have her nice moments (very rare). Overall just a horrible attitude, and rude. can't really stress it more than that. I personally would not recommend having her as a professor. If you do decide to have her......... GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Rudest person I've ever met. At the beginning of the semester she acts like she's super nice, but she is actually ridiculously rude, smells like smoke and every paper I got back smelled like smoke. If you ask for help or fall behind, she acts like she is scolding you like a dog, NOT understanding at all. By far the worse professor I've had so far.

Best Eng professor I've had! She cares a lot about her students and gives really good feedback about your papers. Not an easy class, so be ready to do research on your papers. Her paper topics are very open minded and creative so she'll give you a topic and let you decide what exactly to write about!

This is easily the worst class I have ever taken. Professor Shaw does not care about her students at all. She gives a lot of instruction on how to write your paper, and even if you follow everything she said, she will mark half of it wrong. Do not take this professor. Worst professor I have ever had.

I took this professor in the spring, In the beginning I really did enjoy her. As the semester went on, I noticed that the papers started to get harder and it seemed everyone was confused. The prompts are not very interesting to anyone and she is a hard grader. I don't recommend taking this class unless you are going to show up.

I honestly do not know why her rating is so low. She is one of the best professors Ive ever had. Her explanations and lectures are very clear and concise. You always find yourself having an AHA! moment because she teaches in a way that makes concepts easier to understand. She also cares about her students and make sure everyone understands.

She was very interactive and often made sure to check to see if we understood the concept she was teaching. Work load was heavy ONLY if done at the last-second. Overall, it shocks me that Professor Shaw was ranked the way she was.

Professor Shaw is a great professor. She is very understanding and dedicated to the material she teaches. I took 2 classes with her and I enjoyed both. She is very helpful if you ask for help and she is good at going through all concepts needed to do well on her tests. She is great!

I would not recommend this class to anyone. I only took this class because it fit into my schedule well, and now I regret it. Considering how simple her prompts are, she grades incredibly hard. The articles that you HAVE to write on are very boring and she wants everyone to write about the same thing. Skip 3+ daysgrade lowered by a letter grade.

Dr. Shaw has a very dry sense of humor, which is about the only thing that makes her class somewhat interesting. She grades hard, but offers decent feedback to let you know what you did wrong. She is very helpful, but she can easily come off as rash or annoyed. I wouldn't take her unless I had no other option.

Tried to like her. Talked about things that were not relevant. Going to her class was almost always pointless. The papers we had to write were on topics no one could get interested in. If you want to learn something, don't take this class. Would not recommend her

DO NOT EVER TAKE PROF SHAW! She is a terrible and very boring teacher. There are only 4 papers that you do the whole semester and that's your grade. She grades very tough so don't expect to get higher than a C on any paper. She tells you to add parts into your paper and then marks them wrong as unnecessary details. I repeat don't take her ever.

Kerri expects her students to read instructions and listen in class. If you respect her (even if you don't agree with her), listen to her instructions, and do the work that is required of you an A is a good bet. She does have some dry humor and can come off wrong but in all she is a good teacher.

She was not that bad of a teacher. I liked her sense of humor because it was really dry and sarcastic. She is willing to help you with your papers if you ask her. She is very passionate about the topics she discusses in class. She is not a hard grader at all. I ended up getting A's and B's on all of my papers. I recommend her.

I tried to like her. She was clearly not going to take bull, she was passionate about discussion, and she seemed like a pretty good person. After I told her how I was struggling with untreated depression (I have no money or support to help), things started to go downhill. I was struggling to keep up, so I asked for help, she told me to grow up.

I loved prof. Shaw. She isn't a tough grader. Hardly tried on papers and usually got a B or A. There are 4 papers and no tests or final. Explains things well gives you tons of time to work on stuff in class, and she walks around the room to check on everyone. She is pretty understanding, nice and helpful. I didn't like topics of some papers.

Honestly the worst professor I have ever had. She picks the worst topics, for instance, I am currently writing a 4-6 page paper on a Student Service at RVC. How terrible is that!? I have no interest in writing about this, so how am I supposed to produce a good paper?? Do yourself a favor and find a different professor for this class.
