Comment:
The only good thing about this class is the amount of extra credit she hands out. The lectures are very boring and not very relevant to the tests. Homework is nothing like the tests so you don't have much to practice for exam days. She's old school and not very good at explaining things if you ask her questions.

Stratton seems like a really nice woman but she is a stickler. She does not work well with adults who have life events occur. She does give extra credit to people who attend class, and the material is difficult. Her test are also rough (25 multiple choice questionsword problems and 4 short answers with graphs and descriptions). Super type A.

Read through the old comments to find that she's been teaching the same way for years! She taught the class as if we had background education on Economics, I was completely lost the entire semester. I taught myself from reading and doing lessons on Aplia. She made simple concepts much harder to understand than they actually were. Withdrew

Idk why there are many bad reviews on professor Stratton. No econ 210 is not an easy subject, but she tries to help u to understand. She posts her lectures on blackboard & sends out practice exams before each test ! The aplia assignments R annoying but she is more than willing to help u with them. Curves exam grades a lot ! book is very helpful

Dr. Stratton is an excellent professor. Her lectures are easy to understand and informative and she is quite lenient in her grading. The material is relatively difficult for some but if you come to class and do the homework you should have no problem for the single exam she gives.

You basically don't pass if you dont understand the aplia assignments or if you dont read the text book by every word. She acts like all of us are econ majors and are in a higher level course. Avoid taking her class if you can.

Be prepared to teach yourself the material. Reads directly from power points and uses aplia software for homework. Google will be your teacher/best friend. Nice lady, bad teacher.

She teaches from powerpoints. Very boring and hard to make yourself go to class. Don't take her if you don't know anything about econ before hand. She is a nice lady, but cant teach.

If you can avoid taking this class.. Then PLEASE do. Her class is boring, all of the info she presents is straight from the book, and the online homework, Aplia, is a hassle. Everything we do is online, then gives an in-class paper exam. I didn't think that was fair. Worst professor ever.

Nice lady, yes.. but Professor Stratton is too smart to be teaching this class. She over complicates things, she only gives online homework (makes no sense half the time), and her class is a pain to sit through. Attendance isn't mandatory, her power points are straight from the book. I definitely did not enjoy this class. Just not a good professor.

Prof. Stratton is quite annoying. She freaks out when anyone eats in class and likes to put students in the "hot spot" by randomly calling them out. You can tell she likes econ but she makes things WAY too complicated. If you can take another professor, I would advise so.

I took her Labor Econ class in 2008. She was boring and the material was boring. I received an F on my research paper (that replaced the final) because I didn't perform the regression correctly. The regression was one tiny part of the paper, the 14 pages I wrote and the rest of the research apparently didnt matter. I didn't find that fair

She is a nice lady but she doesn't know how to deal with people. She makes everything really complex. I changed my major to Accounting after taking this class. The Third Test was the hardest test I've ever taken and I studied 10 hours for it. She can't explain things well at all. Shes a bad teacher. She tests on pointless facts, not concepts.

The instructor goes over concepts, but does not go over problems like the ones that appear on Aplia until after the homework is due, which is not helpful at all. In addition, neither the study guides nor the Aplia assignments are helpful in studying for tests because material similar to those is nowhere to be found on her tests.

Good professor. If you were involved in the class, and made an effort to listen, it actually was pretty interesting. I went to see her once with a question and she was very helpful. Librarian looks not relevant in the teaching process - get over it.
