Do NOT take her for spanish 1! This is supposed to be a entry level class and it is far from. She is very unhelpful and expecys to you to already know pretty much everything, be able to speak everything correctly, and work on the class at least 3 hours a night. She is extrememly unhelpful and almost everyone in my class failed. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Professor Ramos is one of the kindest professors on campus. Although you put a lot of work into her classes, it is worth it in the end. For language classes, you absolutely will learn the language! Best language professor on campus! Strongly recommend taking her!

One of the worst teachers I've had. Course description was completely inaccurate. Supposed to be basic, but I found it to be difficult after 2 years of spanish in high school. Stay away, she flies through material and isn't helpful.

Man, she's a hard one. She expects so much from her students and it's hard to live up to her expectations. Her work load is ridiculous. I mean, her classes aren't the only ones I took at the time, ya know? And don't expect much of a social life, unless you count being locked in the library as a social activity. But expect to learn a lot.

Her class is really tough and hard to follow. She expects a lot out of her students and is disappointed with you when you don't do as well as she would like. I used to love German, but now I have really just lost my love for it. She is nice and helpful outside of class if you need her, however, and if you go to the tutors they are very helpful.

The more classes you take with her, the nicer she gets. She was absolutely horrible in 201, but she was actually pretty nice in 202. Probably because everyone she didn't like dropped out after the first semester. She does expect you to do a LOT of outside work, but she is fair as far as grades go. And she is willing to help if you ask her for it!

This teacher is super hard. She takes things way to seriously for an introductory class. I felt bad for the students that had never taken German before, becuase she would speak fluently all class. I had taken 3 years of German in high school, yet this intro class I was failing. She's tough, mean, and doesn't explain things at all. DON'T TAKE!

She is a nice enough lady, and she will be nice to you if you are nice to her. Her class is, however, difficult. I'm glad that I had at least a little prior knowledge to German before her course. If you study, you should be all right. Take Mazur if you don't want to learn but want an easy A. Take Ramos if you want to learn and work for your grade.

wow, i wouldnt have thought that id taken 6 years of german in high school and middle school...this class is TONS of work, moves very quickly. If youre willing to work hard and spend a couple hours a day, you can do well

Good teacher, speaks german most of class but clarifies in english. Just watch out for due dates and tests, because they aren't always announced well before hand.
