He has a very bad attitude with students and with faculty. He only speaks with condescension.

Dr. Day can seem distant at times due to his schedule but overall I found him to be very easy to work with. He has an impressive knowledge of the field and went out of his way to help people in several instances.

Comment:
Is he available for you to ask questions to? Yes. Are his answers helpful? If it's a topic he knows and if your question about material he approves of, then yes. If not, then no. He's kind of arrogant that way--he refuses to see other points of view, and if you challenge on them, he will be a cold fish. Likes to name drop, which adds to arrogance.

Comment:
Dr. Day is always up to date in his knowledge of the field and provides clear, critical feedback on papers. As for other criticism, some may call it name dropping, others recognize that he personally knows the big names in the field and can provide insights into their work from conversations that he's had with them. That seems useful to me.

Comment:
Michael is a good professor. He cares deeply about his students and his subject. He is extremely helpful when he's asked for help. The readings are very heavy, and a lot of us stopped doing all of them half way through the semester. I think that his concentration on the eportfolio is too heavy. It must be related to some sort of research/grant.
