Comment:

Don't get tricked by the previous reviews. He is a nice man, but your class grade is only based on 3 exams (all cumulative). There is no extra credit or curve. If you don't do well on one exam, you lose your A and possibly B in the class. His lectures aren't really good, he often has students do the problems on the board instead of himself. Beware!

Super nice guy! This class wasn't that bad. The test literally come straight from the HW, which made studying easy. I also like how he dosen't take off too many points for math mistakes. Id take him again if i could.

A really good professor and a really nice guy. Tests are always from homework questions, which makes the first test easy but the last test difficult, since you need to know how to do 30+ proofs and 30+ computational examples.

Professor Rao is the best professor I have had at UF! He is one of the nicest people I have ever met. He does pretty much all of the homework problems in class and then just tests you on that!

Prof Rao is an amazing professor. Diff eqs 2 was confusing at times, but he always clarified what he was looking for. If you came to all the classes and did all your hw, you should do fine in the exams since he takes it directly from hw (although he does assign quite a few). I'd also visit him during office hours before an exam for any questions.

Comment:

Rao is a great teacher, his pace is fast but he leaves nobody behind. Everything is straight from the textbook though the question he picks can be tweaked just barely. He tries to review problems once a week or whenever there's time. He's very lenient and tries to help everyone get max points. Great professor, especially for a small class.

He was a very good professor. He let me make up quizzes if i missed them and also gave me a boost in my grade even though i bombed the final. if you are engaging in class he will probably give you a better grade than you deserve.

Rao difeq class was easy. i did not find my self putting much work in the class and i got a B. He is not the best teacher of the subject so you might have to learn a little bit on your own. His Test questions come straight from the book most of which were on the homework. homework is optional. Much easier than other difeq professors.

He's a really nice teacher and the quizzes are fairly easy. The tests come straight from the homework, but I don't feel he gives good partial credit. The tests are tricky and don't really test on what you'd expect, meaning they aren't very expansive in nature.

Rao is a really nice/funny guy. I took him because of all the reviews here. I found it difficult maybe because the last time I took calc was in junior year HS. He goes at a pretty fast pace.(I was in another section and moved on to his and he was already on the next chapter)I had a hard time understanding him and I use to sit in the front.Okay p ro

Rao is the man, he's the nicest guy ever and loves his students. His class is easy and as long as you show up he's going to know and like you, just go to class and take notes and you'll do fine on the tests and quizzes because anything he goes over is fair game for tests and quizzes. Go to class, ask questions, and you'll enjoy calc2.

This is the best professor I have ever had. He is so funny, and will always keep your interest. He really cares about his students. His tests can be a little tricky, but I never recieved below a B on any of them. His quizzes are super easy. You will love this guy.

This is the third time I take Cal 2 at UF, he's the best and easiest, quiz questions come straight out of textbook, no hw (but do them! it's math, you need pratice to understand!), he is very kind and helpful. And best of all, he will help you out even during a quiz if he sees you get stuck with a problem, and gives very good partial credits!

He is hard to understand at times which is why I sat in the front row. He's extremely helpful and ALWAYS asks if we have any questions. He will go out of his way to help you any way he can. In my class, our and quiz questions came from problems in the HW, which isn't mandatory to do but do it! He is amazing, take his class.
