One of the best classes I ever had at The University of Arizona. It was an upper division English class and wasn't in my major. He is a great storyteller and Professor. Read the text and listen to his lectures and you will do well. He is a legend and a cool guy.

Comment:
He occasionally tells interesting stories, but this is one of the most boring classes you could ever take. There is no structure; you learn nothing. Despite the fact that he is a Pulitzer-Prize-winning author, his classes are not worth taking. Take a different class.

Interesting stories but NOTHING to do with class material or tests. Easy class, though.

There was very little structure to his classes, and they were painfully boring. However, he told interesting stories about himself on occasion (things that weren't usually related to the class material).

Worthless worthless worthless. Oh and a waste of time. If HE even shows up for class. Expect to BS around and have him read out of the books for you. If you want teaching or guidance. You're not going to find it here.

Good class, you learn a lot. He's not interested in grades, so you can usually get what you want. He's extremely flexible. Pullitzer prize winner. Definitely worth a try especially if you like Native American literature.
