horrible teacher. didnt cover material. so many people dropped, we were in single digits by the final from over 40 people. Went of on tangents. very hard tests with info he never covered. Classes went over time. couldnt understand him.

I'm taking 5B with another professor but I really miss him. He's the smartest and most helpful math professor. Too bad PCC doesn't offer him classes this semester. Hopefully he will come back and teach me 5C.

You get used to his accent as with most teachers. Like most math teachers at PCC, he grades kindof hard even though most of the time he gives courtesy points so the tests add up to 100 each. HW is random check (he checked once). There are about 8 tests including the final. He does even problems during class as his lecture, but it's not a bad thing.

A truely excellent teacher. Also extremely hard. I took Calculus twice before, in HS and once before, failing. I got a C in his class and am proud of it. I feel I actually learned something about calculus. He briefly uses the book, goes over homework, and teaches by explaining difficult problems. Tests are very hard and homework is mandatory.

Prof. Budarin is very passionate and knowledgeable about math. However, his tests are HARD! You really need to study if you want to pass his class. He also has a thick accent, but you should be able to understand him after a few class sessions. First half of the class, he goes over homework which is very helpful.

Best math teacher I have ever had. Explains things clearly and relates lofty mathematical concepts to real life. Made me love math. You too will love him if you are open minded and smart. However, you will hate him and fail if you like to be spoon fed. You will learn a lot more than math in his class. And that Russian accent is just too sexy.

I dropped this class as fast as I could because he honestly does not know how to teach. I feel bad for him, because he has to drive from school to school to make a living. However, he's unprofessonal and heartless. Showed up to class with a pack of cigarettes in his shirt pocket. Says "F-" to your answers. Take someone who actually cares.

Overall good teacher. Maybe better russian than teacher. He likes to make people feel stupid and says F- a lot to your answers. Tests are hard, but maybe not if you really know your stuff. He says it will be a miracle if you pass his class and move on to 131. Half people dropped 1/2 way through. Other than that, he's pretty funny to listen to.

his tests are extremely hard but helpful if u're planning to major in math -- he answers all the questions as accurate as possible and knows what he is talking about-- his passion for mathematics is admirable...make sure u do all the homework even if he does not collect them and ask questions!!
