Pretty good. Spoke some spanish that was above the class level, but corrected it if he realized it. Chapa makes jokes and keeps his class listening and tests are ok if u study some.

He dosen't explain things at all--things just are. It seems like he doesn't have any plan for the lessons. He jumps around to different concepts, and class time is not used well. He is really nice...but that doesn't make him a good teacher. If you want to learn something don't take this class.

GREAT teacher! He knows how to teach a foreign language like Spanish. he is funny and helpful. He wants you to learn and have fun at the same time! a MUST take teacher. Tests are moderate but he will make sure you know the info on the test. Good teacher...and i guarantee if you have the right attitude you will have FUN!

Chapa is an excellent teacher. He is funny, helpful, and very relaxed- he takes the time to learn everyone's name and makes sure that you are ready for all of his tests. It might seem random the way he jumps around in each chapter, but he covers all the important concepts and vocabulary. A wonderful class and teacher!!!

Very nice, always willing to help. Much less structured than Timmons, and can be difficult if you are not able to quickly switch between different grammar structures and concepts (103 level). However, he is willing to work with whatever level of aptitude you have and grades forgivingly.

Nice guy, but after Timmons, not so sure I'd recommend him. He stresses the memorization of phrases rather than the constructoin of them. Example: he teaches you "Put on your shoes=Ponte tus zapatos" rather than teaching you how to construct the command. He's a nice guy, & I loved his class, but if you want to go further with spanish...

I totally LOVE this guy. He is soooo fun and easy going. He gets to know all his students and makes sure everyone participates. You can really tell that he loves his job and helping students succeed. I looked forward to going to his class everyday.

I DIDN'T LEARN A SINGLE THING FROM CHAPA!!! If you ever want to speak spanish then I suggest you take someone other than Chapa. A happy medium would be Phelps. Not too easy, not too hard and really nice. Though, if you have the discipline, take Bongiorno.

FUN FUN FUN in SR.CHAPAS class. Sometimes too much fun and not enough learning but prob the most fun youll ever have in class. Easy, but teacher is very biased in grading when it comes to attendence and effort so take heed and dont try to take advantage.
