I loved taking Italian with Signora Scarfone so much! I was so sad when the school cancelled Italian 185, I couldnt finish the course. I hope in the future Ill be able to take a second course with her! Amazing.

Overall she is such a sweet lady and a great professor. I was strugging her class almost failed but she help me and encourage me and i was able to bring my grades up. The Class is fun and lively and the atmosphere itself make you feel comfortable. But there are lots of homeworks.

Ms. Scarfone was a real Italian teacher. As she was born in Italy, she knows what she talks about. Very sweet and caring teacher, who is willing to help you if you are struggling on your semester. Would and will definitely take her again for Italian 2. Grazie professoressa! Ciao!

I've never loved a teacher like I love her. She's so caring and sweet, and she genuinely loves teaching. We went on a trip to the opera (this was the first time any class had gone) and she created a strong bond with all of us. Homework is easy, just participate in class and you'll learn fast. Helps you understand. Now I know Italian! C'è vediamo!

The best! I took 180 & 185. If you know Spanish, 180 will be relatively easy, she doesn't assign much "due" homework at all for either of her classes but STUDY! You can expect an exam every 2 weeks (if you study and pay attention in class you will do great!) Partner work, extra credit options, very involved, really cares about her students success.

Great class to start with Spanish. The only reason you won't get an A in her class is that you don't want to and not willing to study. It made me scared at first when it is said in the syllabus that the class would be conducted nearly 100% in Spanish, but with a little help from my classmate, it was fine. "Hablo mucho en espanol".

She is a great professor :) As far as I know, she speaks (at least) 3 languages: Spanish, Italian and English. She knows much thing and deliver her knowledge in very interesting way. Professoressa Scarfone has become one of my favorite people in the whole world! Her enthusiasm for Italian and life is infectious! I've always been interested in the language, but now I'm obsessed with it! I can't wait for 185 to start tomorrow, and I'm definitely going abroad with her 280 class this summer. Excellent teacher and amazing person!!!
