I enjoyed this class so much. She is an incredible woman! Yes she does talk about her personal life a ton but she relates it to the material. You must get the book and read. There are some treasures in that book, its not boring. She assigns a handful of essays but the big one is the research one. You cannot pass without it.

Mrs Hoover is such a great teacher. She clearly explained how to do the assignments and didnt even give us that many essays. It was my first English class and college class but she made English more interesting. She does talk a ton about her ex husbands and personal life, but overall a great English teacher. first of all shes a b*tc*. she told the class you are nobodies to state our opinions on an essay...im going to be honest here..she grades student's essays pretty easily, but like the person below says..she talks about her leg non-stop and about her many ex husbands. she helps when you need it, but gets frustrated. NOT a NICE TEACHER!

I would never take her class again. I fell asleep almost every time and she is really boring. She never lets you out early, and I hated going to her class. Her essays are really easy, and shes an easy grader. but so boring
