Comment:
I understand math and usually do very well in my math classes, but I had some issues with the way this professor taught and and lectured. I was sick and struggled studying the material and could not access the homework he eventually decided to require students to do. He forced me to drop the class instead of helping and was not sympathetic at all.

Prof Zeitz is a great professor. He gives a lot of real world examples in class. That said, he is not the best lecturer for Math 109 specifically. He often goes on tangents and has a very unique lecture method. Nevertheless Paul is always willing to help and gives detailed study guides for his exams. He is very caring and understanding. Great guy!

Really nice and funny professor. Some topics are a little difficult, but he has office hours to help. Sometimes class is a little scattered, but I always ended up understanding the topic by the end of the chapter. Uses textbook for optional HW. Teaches excel (had 1 excel specific test). 4 quizzes. 2 regular tests. Overall good experience with him

He's a great, funny math nerd and he knows what he's talking about. He will try to integrate Excel with the textbook concepts; it will seem loosely connected but if you: read the book, take notes in and out of class, and do the quizzes - it wont be so bad or confusing. He knows this class can be hard, but do your best and go to office hours.

He's probably the smartest person I've ever met, so that makes class really engaging. He's pretty good in office hours too. However, his classes are NOT easy. The good news: homework can't hurt your grade. The bad news: the rest of the grade comes from tests which are long and challenging. If you don't mind working hard, he's a great choice

Not my type of professor but I can see why some might like him. He uses a lot of childlike metaphors to explain concepts that are easier understood in math terms. Very cartoon-like in his mannerisms and facial expressions. Stutters a lot. It seems as though math is his god and reason for living.

He is AWESOME. Great teacher, great clarity. Willing to sit down with you to baby-step you through the process, but doesn't treat you like the moron you sometimes think you are. Makes material interesting, has a querky sense of humor. Favorite Professor at USF.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU DONT LIKE MATH! he is very very nice and tries to be helpful, but his intelligence gets in the way. he tries to explain things with elaborate metaphors/stories and it doesnt work! class gets even more confused and he ends up taking FOREVER to explain otherwise simple concepts. waste of your tuition $!

Great professor. Very enthusiastic about the material, and has a very thorough grasp of the concepts. A little quirky, but an all around fun guy who loves to discuss mathematical concepts in and out of class.
