This was probably one of the best teachers I had at PC. He is an amazing teacher, very helpful. He will sit with you until you understand it. Great person, would take him again in a heartbeat. My recommendation for a great math professor.

Took this class back in Fall 17. Professor Anderson is an okay person, but not so okay as a professor. Most lectures are from video, which made me think that I might as well take an online class instead. A good number of EC, but it won't really help unless you really study the materials - not just the ones from the video, but more deeper than that.

Randy doesnt teach. He expects you to teach yourself by watching youtube and spends class time having you work with other students to figure out what's going on. Very fast paced. Will test you on something you just saw for the first time the day before. Makes you get a Twitter account to get extra points because many cant pass without it.

Great professor. Class was structured very nicely and practice work really prepared you for the exams. If you do the work, practice problems, get help when stuck or struggling,youll do great! We always got prompt feedback and answers to our questions. Then best part, youre allowed to toss out your lowest exam score!

I took this class for MATH 141 and loved it! You have at home lectures to watch (only about 5-10 minutes) and if you have questions you ask them in class the next day where you have a paper to do but its not graded to better the skills! He is really good about making sure you understand the topic or trying to help you understand!

I took math 99 online and I didn't find his videos helpful, a lot of the time there would be random things on the assignments that he never taught us. I liked him as a person, but not a professor. He was nice and always answered my questions over email, but his way of teaching didn't work for me.

Terrible. The videos he assigns don't even cover the questions he gives you half the time. More often than not I was pulling my hair out because he completely neglected a very important aspect and wanted us to ask each other for help before he would step in. I'll never take another class by this 'professor' and feel truly sorry for those who do.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! If you show up daily, watch the assigned short lectures online before class, take notes, participate, and ask questions if you don't understand something you will definitely have fun. He loves math and it shows. Has awesome homework problems that really make you think. Great professor! Great Guy!

this class was soooooo hard! you do have to teach yourself. but there is online movies you watch and those are awesome! when im in a math class i cant learn by listening so actually seeing a movie about it helped alot! so i guess it depends on how you learn

Great instructor. There was some independent learning BUT he is always available to answer questions or to clarify. I love that there is no particular text book required because it saves me money and I found the youtube videos very helpful. If you are not prepared to work hard and sometimes independently then don't attend college!

I would feel like i knew the material but then when i took the weekly exam it would have all sorts of thing on it not covered in the chapter. I have never in my life failed a class but this one totally did me in. He was an awful teacher and didn't care at all if you missed a deadline. The grade was based only on your exam scores too. AWFUL CLASS

Randy is a nice guy, but, what, he is a teacher?! One would never know, since he never actually TEACHES in the class. Basically, students have to teach themselves math by watching youtube videos and homework videos and classes are to ask questions.... If I thought I could teach myself, why go to school?

Unless you're comfortable with learning Math basically on your own, don't take his class. His format is: watch online lectures on Youtube at home on your own time, then come to class and work on homework. If I wanted to take an Online math class, I would have signed up for one. But I paid for and expected a LECTURE class.

I think Randy is a great teacher. I like his format of lecturing via Youtube videos. The only thing I would say is that his homework assignments are the hardest things I've ever encountered. I can work all the problems from the book, and then he hands me a sheet that's suposed to correlate with my knowledge from the book but doesn't. He likes it.

I just finished a class with Randy. He is my favorite math prof at P.C. He's helpful, funny and takes an interest in his students. If I were to go on with Math, it would only be to be in one of his classes again.
