Bonnie B is such a sweet and caring lady, not to mention extremely knowledge when it comes to anything micro. However, this class was not easy. Each exam is Jam-Packed with hard and specific questions and it is very tough to finish in 50min whether you studied or not. Similarly, we had like a total of 6 things graded(3exam,2quiz,1 HW). BE CAREFUL

Bonnie is a very intelligent, caring professor, but she is a tough grader in regards to lab reports. I often felt that we were rushing through lab instructions to the point where I didn't understand what we were doing (even if I had read the pre-lab instructions). The quizzes and group projects were relatively easy, so that was nice!

Bonnie made microbiology lab way too difficult. She is such a picky grader (taking off points for punctuation and spelling), and sets her expectations way too high for a 100 level class. She's a very nice lady, but the difficulty of the quizzes and grading was ridiculous for a 100 level lab that is once a week.

If you want a bad grade in lab take her. Way too hard for a level 100 class. Takes points off for not spelling a word right or capitalizing something. Take any other teacher and youll be fine.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend Bonnie. Especially for a lower level class. Her responses to questions are snooty which makes students timid to ask questions. Her notes are extremely confusing, disorganized and sometimes irrelevant. Coming from a senior who's experienced with many classes and good professors, she's not one.

Writes VERY tiny on the board, so sit near the front. Very picky/tough grader. Will take off for the smallest things, even though she knows what you meant. Gives out worthless handouts. Very smart, however, and always in a good mood! Sweet woman!

I took this class as a senior, expecting an easy filler bio class. Every single thing she goes over in lecture will be on her exam. The exams are 75 points and each question is worth 1 point so you'll be very rushed. One of the worst professors I've had at UWL.

No doubt she is a smart professor, but her exams are the worst. You must make sure you know the information inside out, backwards and well enough to recite it in your sleep. It was not the worst class I have taken but it sure was not a breeze.

MIC350 has a heck of a lab for only 3 credits and the exams are pretty difficult. Make tables for the organisms and use flashcards for the rest of the information and you will do fine. Study and do lab tasks early. Bonnie is a great teacher but her class is tough. I would highly recommend taking her though, she's one of my favorite professors.

The worst class ever. Bioinformatics is taught by three professors and Bonnie was one of them. She gave tasks without knowing how to find information and what exactly you are looking for. Her exam was ridiculous. The lecture notes did not correlate to what was on the exam. The average was 60%. However, she has replied to emails after 12am.

Do you want to ruin your GPA? Then take this class. She takes off points left and right. If you don't have the exact working she is looking for you won't get any credit on exams/homework.

Honestly its a difficult class, but pure memorization. Sit up front because she writes small on the board. If you show her that you care and go to her office she is incredibly nice, helpful, and understanding.

Bonnie is a great professor, loves what she does and loves microbiology. I would recommend taking her over other professors, because she writes things on the board instead of power point slides (just how I prefer to learn). Problems may be that she writes small, so sit up front. Overall she made class enjoyable.

I had her for MIC 230 lab as well as MIC 350. If you want a knowledgable professer, take Bonnie. It blows my mind how much she knows. She rattles everything off the top of her head onto a white board, as long as you copy it done you're golden. They aren't meant to be easy classes, but she makes them managable. She's always willing to help

I had her for lab and she is extremely knowledgeable. She tends to like the red pen, but she is very approachable and really nice. Overall, she handled the lab as a 100-level class should have been handled.

Do not expect your knowledge of course content to be tested, rather how well you can memorize unimportant details and how carefully you word you written answers. Good luck studying notes prior to the exam as they are just an incoherent outline and more or less of a puzzle. She is very knowledgable and nice, however.

Her teaching style is something to get used to. She doesn't give notes.. she just writes bullets points on the board and speaks off of those. So if you JUST write the bullet points down, you will be confused. If you really listen and write down what she says, youll be fine. Also, try hard to show her that you care.

Worse professor I have EVER taken. notes are horrible very unclear. brought an exam 20 min late to class. she doesnt cover many things on the exam. expects you to know everything. complains about how much work she has to do but continues to give SO much work. 12 page written final. loads all of the work at the end of semester. AWFUL PROFESSOR

She's a very nice lady and is willing to help, but her lectures are very boring and confusing. I recommend printing out an outline before class so you know what's going on. Her tests and quizzes are hard, and you have to know a lot of detail. What you think you don't need to know WILL be on the exams and quizzes. Very little points in the class.

Absolutely horrible!! Tests are super hard. Writes notes on a white board. They are very messy and she lectures very quickly. She tries to pack a lot a info in a short amount of time and has yet to finish the amount of material she would like to in a single class. She knows her stuff she's just AWFUL at teaching it to other people.
