She doesnt allow for views and interpretations of material to be different from her own. If they do, your grade will be lower, which makes the class all the harder as the majority of the grade comes from interpretation of material during quizzes and exams. No matter how much evidence you use to back your statements, if they differ youre wrong.

She is not open to different interpretations of the text. It is a discussion based class but you can only say what she wants to hear. On top of this, her laugh and the way she interacted with students dove me nuts. Quizzes every class just fyi.

She's a smart woman who knows a great detail about what she's teaching. That being said, she expects you to learn a great detail as well. When it came to quizzes, the questions where very content specific, so SparkNotes can only help you so much.

She as an amazing woman with a great laugh. I hear a lot of negative comments about how she's opinionated. This is true, but she always has evidence to back it up. If you make a claim in her class be prepared to BACK IT UP! She sees right through BS. If you just mull your way through of course you're not going to learn anything.

By far one of my most favorite teachers to date. She is INCREDIBLY helpful if you simply ask her a question!! Her classes are not easy simply because she has high expectations for her students. These high expectations have GREATLY improved my understanding of literature and generally all things English.

After hearing my English major roommate rave about Dr. Reiff, I decided to take Shakespeare II with her. It was an incredibly enjoyable class. She tries to include everyone in classroom discussions. Only 3 tests and 1 paper made it a fairly easy class. Read the works, show up and be prepared to defend your opinions.

Dr. Reiff is a consumate professional in the classroom -- and is extremely helpful outside the classroom if you ask for feedback along the way and don't wait until the last minute. Her scholarship and teaching are but two of the reasons I wanted to become -- and am now -- a professor myself.

Dr Reiff is very kind and genuine. Her laugh is like a loudspeaker. She is married to a Christian preacher and is devout - you'd be smart to watch your mouth and be respectful of her religion. She is openly devout. Grading is fair and she is well humored and understanding. Will take more classes with her for sure!

She is a Wicked Awesome teacher. She knows her stuff and is happy to spread her knowledge. I took this class as an elective but I feel that it will soon be my major. Way to go Dr. Reiff!!! You deserve a huge promotion!
