He takes his time in explaining the problem until we understand it. Im glad he does take his time and doesnt ignore your question like other math professors. I took him for summer school and I really understood math. Overall, this professor is very helpful and gives us handouts that are similar to what is going to be on the test.

Best math professor! I highly recommend him if you struggle with math. he goes slow to make sure every single person in class understands every step. he's always asking if anyone is stuck or has any questions, so take advantage & speak up if you're stuck on anything. He uses real life situations to help us understand, & overall is a caring person!!

BEST math professor I have had in years. Thanks to him I finally passed and understood math. He is beyond great at what he does, I can't wait until I take him again for Math175. If you struggle with math, I would highly suggest taking him.

Thanks to Professor Botello and his amazing skills I passed Math 53. I was literally loosing all hope in finding who to take but with him and how he taught math everything just clicked. I cannot wait to take him again for math 73. He is so amazing! A real true blessing!

Amazing professor! Give lots of hand outs which are based off the test. Gives you a study guide. He is a phenomenal teacher and makes everything extremely easy to understand. You won't regret taking his class. Only two tests and one final. Homework is collected the day of class. He is extremely approachable and wants you to pass.

Amazing teacher! I sucked at math but when taking his class I got the hang of all basic math fundamentals. He teaches everything step but step and he does not mind repeating himself or going over a problem/ lesson many times. Highly recommended!! You really won't regret taking his class.

After 2 weeks in Math 73 with Prof. Botello, I dropped. I like math but he seems to be negative. Math 73 is difficult enough. Very picky grader! I heard Prof. Jack Gill is way cool & makes math fun! I want to enjoy my class and not stress about it. Just my opinion.

He is absolutely amazing! I would take stats with him but he doesn't teach it. Hes clear concise and very caring. He uses analogies to teach and gets to the point. He is a passionate and great teacher. I hated math but he makes me love it. He is absolutely an awesome teacher for sure! he teaches from the bottom so you understand the top.

One of the BEST professors at Rio Hondo, honestly if I can take him for pre calculus, without a doubt I would. He breaks down everything and doesn't skip a step. If your confused about something he has NO PROBLEM repeating the steps again. All the homework is due on the day of the test, LOTS of extra credit, and gives such good letures.

I took him for two semesters !!! I never passed math in high school, and never thought i will ever do! He takes his time to write down every little step and it is sooo helpful ! Honestly he should be teaching all levels ! Such a funny and great professor

This guy really knows how to teach math. He will explain everything to the class multiple ways so you fully understand the concept. Always accepting of questions & crystal clear explanations. Hw is generally each section, every other odd out of 90 or so problems. I wish I could take him for every math class.

I learned this material in high school and it was very hard but when I learned it again with Botello, after a year and half without taking math, it was so much easier. I always had a hard time in math and sometimes not the best math teachers but his teaching was very helpful; it got me my first A in math!

Mr. Botello is an amazing math professor! I failed trigonometry in high school but I passed with an A in this class. Lectures are clear and he will not move on if you have questions. Do the 10 quizzes (there is up to 4 points XC for each of them), all the homework, and you'll definitely pass. Class is out of 1000 points. Easy A or B

I suggest Professor Botello to anyone who had a very difficult time learning math. He is by far one of my favorite professors in Rio Hondo. Botello teaches clearly, gives plenty examples for notes, reviews before and after an exam, and is very very very patient and caring with his students. I PROMISE, you will enjoy learning and have fun in class.

Professor Botello has been one of the most amazing professors at Rio Hondo College. He cares for the students so much and is willing to spend extra time in class for students who don't understand the material. There's only three packets of homework, five quizzes, and one final exam. Overall, easy class and great professor.
