Chen is literally the best teacher I've ever had. He's really funny, but also really cares that you learn the material in his class. This course is EXTREMELY difficult, but he is the best person to teach it. I've never had a professor I respected more than him. Chen is the best professor EVER, you will not regret taking his class.

Loved the class! Honestly, it was the most useful class that I've ever taken.. a lot of industry best practices. Dr. Chen really needs to write a book.. no book covers what he covers in class (especially in his optimization classes).

Super-cool professor. Expects a lot from students, but if you read his notes after EVERY class, everything will be crystal-clear to you. His classes are a very, very rewarding experience.. you'll find out about sutff no textbook talks about, but that's pertinent to the industry side of things. Very helpful during office hours. Highly recommended.
