Comment:

Straight forward class with dense subject material. No textbook required and Romeo is very knowledgeable about his subject material. You'll need to read 12 research articles throughout the semester, some much easier to understand than others. He likes to throw in some jokes every once in a while to keep the class light-hearted.

Comment:

Romeo was very knowledgeable about his subject and you could tell also really enjoyed it. Very thorough and clear in his explanations and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. There was no homework and midterms and finals were fair. I found the material dry, but most people I know found it fascinating. Either way, he's a great guy!

Honestly one of the best professors i've had. I never review my profs but romeo deserves it! Despite this class being at 8am and me missing 50% of classes, I would go to tutorial times and tell Romeo the classes i had missed and he would literally sit down with me and go through everything. Definitely hard class but interesting and romeo is awesome

For those of you taking this course, you realize that the streams of HKIN are worthless. You end up with the same title. In any case my tips for anyone unfortunate enough to take this course is to copy the lab data from the previous class/section so you can see how their graphs look like. Remember the graphs or else!!!!

This class is a hard class.. You will FAIL if you do not attend class/open-labs. Use the open labs to ask questions about the lecture. However, if you work hard and UNDERSTAND the concepts and not memorize the concepts you will do extremely well in this class.... Romeo is always available and very approachable! Good luck

Was hesitant at first about this course because previous years were saying how hard this class was. I can see how the concepts may be confusing, but if you go to lectures + his office hours and ask for help you should do fine. (I think our year has the highest average!) JARED (TA) was awesome too!

great prof and very helpful. super available outside of lecture time for help and trust me you're going to need it. 330 is a very detailed course and you HAVE to attend class. just go by the objectives and study like crazy and you'll do fine :)

I loved taking 230 and 330 with Romeo. There was lots of interesting material, and the learning objectives were crystal clear. Go to class, know your learning objectives and readings (use his guide for 330) like the back of your hand. These are not difficult courses if you do these three things, you will struggle otherwise.

Course material was challenging & took lots of study & extra work to understand. Dr.Chua is very helpful & approachable when you need help. Clearly outlines the material to be tested. Labs and readings reflected course material. Midterm was difficult but fair, final was easier. Recommend this prof, very knowledgable & interesting course.

Avoid the 8am class at all costs, its impossible to stay awake (commuters especially). material was easy, but make sure you go to tutorial. Labs are budget (as in HKIn too poor) to run, but they are easy concepts. The excel**** was pointless, except for making the graphs. REMEMBER THE GRAPHS. Coordination dynamics & vision was the easiest.

Hardest Class ever, if you don't go to class you will fail. His notes are bare bones. you MUST go to class to add to the notes. Most concepts in notes are not explained at all. if you don't go to class you will be lost. Lab exam is ok MIDTERM is RAPE. Great Prof though. Most respected by FAR and he actually knows peoples names =) great guy

Good teacher and VERY helpful. Really tries to make sure everyone understands concepts. It's easy if you keep up and go to lectures! Tries to make class interesting which is hard with a pretty dry topic. No textbook is nice, but keep up with the articles!
