Comment:
Sternlicht is so sweet. As stated below, its a shame that 95% of the class stays on their laptop or phone with their headphones in. He's an easy grader and he's super into the material. Its cute to hear him talk about his passion for english, especially drama. Basically just watched movies every class and sparknoted for essays.

Sternlicht is a nice guy. He's super chill and adorable and grades stuff very leniently. I feel bad in class because a majority of the students find him boring and spend the entire class period on their phone or laptop. It's a shame, because the guy knows a lot and gets excited over the material. 3 papers and no final.

Sternlicht is a good guy. Really understanding and really personable. Has a lot of trust in his students. Class was unbelievably boring though and you just end up reading the book there, so it's pointless to read it alone. Attendance and essays are all you are graded on and the essays are easy A's as long as you regurgitate what he said in class.

This is a fairly simple class with just four 4 page essays for the entire semester. While readings aren't necessary, they are helpful for substantiating argumentative claims in your essays. Sanford is extremely laid back if a little dry at times. Definitely worth picking up for a nice little GPA boost.

I had him my first semester at SU as a part time student, and I faile because UC classes are 3hrs straight; if anyone knows this guy 3hrs is impossible to do without losing your mind. I took the class over as a main campus student 50 minutes at a time and got a "A". Both classes were easy but one was insanely too long to spend with Sany. good guy!

sternlicht is a heck of a guy. this was the easiest class i ever took and it made the last semester of my senior year a piece of cake with cherries on top. (you can't get into this class any earlier, everyone wants it.)

Very good teacher. I went to Ireland this summer with the DIPA class at Trinity and we had a blast and Prof. Sternlicht showed us around and gave helpful info about Ireland and Dublin. I highly recommend people take this class.

He was the man. I dropped one of his classes junior year because I didn't want to read about whatever we were reading about, but I took him again, and he was awesome. He tells some corny-ass jokes, and has scarily large belt buckles, but he was still cool.

Wants everyone to do well, but the material is boring. Make sure your cell phone is off in his class!
