Dr. Steinberg is a quality teacher and graduate mentor. Real research opportunities and keeping me on track/inspired made for a real graduate experience. Rude? No. Some folks are too PC & get offended when real issues are discussed. Busy? Yes, because she gives ALOT of personal, one-on-one time to her students.High recommendations.

I took multiple classes from Dr. Steinberg and enjoyed each one. Her teaching style is very effective, integrating real world examples to help convey theory. Her classes are challenging but by the end of the semester I felt that I had a solid command over the material. She also has a great sense of humor! I highly recommend working Dr. Steinberg.

Dr. Steinberg's teaching methods, knowledge of the subject and enthusiasm during lectures was critical in developing my interest in Sociology. I highly recommend her. She was always available to take extra time and care in responding to questions I had about her material. The courses were challenging, informative and edifying.

She was very rude and made offensive comments toward certain religious and cultural affiliations which I found to be very unprofessional. I would not recommend taking her, she talks down and undermines her students as if they are dumb or clueless...very condescending and rude.

She was often rude. Walking out of the class while students were replying to questions. She seemed unprepared, and had guest speakers show up out of no where. I found her to be very rude.

This was an introductory class, so I didn't expect much, but I was still underwhelmed. Mrs. Steinberg was terrible at controlling a disrespectful class, and occasionally rather uninformed and politically incorrect, considering her profession. Otherwise decent.

She was a great professor with great lectures. She used to go by Sheila Seshan before she got married. I really recommend her. She's not very formal in a freshing way; she's awesome!
