Comment:

She is a nice lady - but a terrible professor. Probably the worst professor I ever had. She makes way too many mistakes during her lectures and examples that you spend half the time WAITING FOR HER! Its very annoying, frustrating, and stressful. I personally did well-but am I prepared for my 4 year college of the next levels of calc? NO!

Absolutely the worst teacher at this school. After the death of a family freind she wouldnt let you retake a test, then proceeds to make fun of you in class and taunt you for going to the wake and funeral and tells the class your grades. She give 4 tests through the semester and nothing else so if you fail one test your done for

4 exams for Calculus II and reviews beforehand. Allows you to use two 3×5 index cards on the exams. Answers questions students may have, accessible in her office. Caring professor who has a good sense of humor. Homework helps you study for the exams, but the reviews she posts and your notes are the most important in doing well. Explains math well.

Comment:

Professor Grone is an amazing teacher. I took her for Math 266. She gives reviews for the four exams in the class that helps students prepare for them. In class, she goes over the reviews and also answers questions students may have on the days before the exams. Homework optional, but doing it is helpful when preparing for the exams.

Professor Grone is the worst professor that I ever had. She's unorganized and there are only four grades total for the class, which are the tests. Hat she teaches in class and what are on the tests are two completely different things. She also makes a lot of mistakes and the class has to correct her constantly. Please do not take!!!!

As long as you show up and pay attention you will pass. The downside to her is she doesn't give out homework so you can't really boot your grade up with anything extra so do good on her tests. She does MathXL but doesnt submit it until the very end so you might not know what you grade is. She does get off topic but I found it to be funny.

Prof Grone was nice but talked too much about herself and went off topic way too much. I had her for 8am and there wasn't one class she was on time to, she was always at least 10 mins late. You have 4 tests and math lab homework but it was the easiest A in my life

I have not had a good experience with Professor Grone whatsoever. She spends the majority of the class teaching things that we learned in intermediate school, then tests us on things we have not even seen before. The class average on the first 3 tests we took were 59, 56, and 66... Oh yeah, and do not buy the book, we have used it 3 times all year.

Honestly one of the worst college experiences I have had. Totally could not teach the material. I withdrew and took a different prof. the next semester and did a letter grade higher. Lectures are poorly structured. Goes on unrelated rants every class

This professor is a good person at heart. She is very unclear in her lectures, when she does problems goes way to fast and you have no idea what section or chapter your on. NOT CLEAR! Tests are about 30 questions, difficulty an 8 out of 10. She is helpful with extra credits and easy grader but the only thing that counts is Connect Math and Tests.

This class has been a nightmare. She persists to go over one type of problem for an hour and then quizzes you on other types. Constantly blamed me for all the talking in the back of the room when I was silent and singling me out every class. She is awful. Quizzes were "extra credit" and only a few exams w/ homework online for grades.

I despise math but found her class to be bearable. She is funny and likeable. Grading criteria is fair, but don't be and idiot like me and miss a day, because she usually doesn't allow for makeups. Teaching is solid and well done, excluding the last chapter which she rushed through way to quickly. Assigns online math homework which helped me study.

Our grade was based off of 3 tests and that's it. No opportunity for extra credit. She's a decent enough teacher but with no quizzes it makes it harder to know that you understand all the material.

Comment:

Professor Grone is very smart! I am bad at math and she made it clear and I was able to understand. She will give you a worksheet and you will do many problems from the worksheet. She explains clearly. For homework we used MathXL which consisted of 10 questions that corresponded to the lesson/section we were learning. They were easy and if you get 100's on all the Homeworks it will count as a test grade which is great! Overall great professor and would recommend!
