Folks who say he is a jerk have NO sense of humor at all and really need to get over themselves. He is very funny, nice, interesting, and glib. He makes a relativly dull class fun. A few warngings; he is not a good teacher for Econ/Finance majors, he teaches to the masses. Also, he is at times contradictory. Read the book.

Comes off as a jerk but is a nice guy. Class is fairly easy if you read the chapter. You will learn in this class and I actually found it very interesting. Good class i recommend him

His class was fairly easy; if you put effort into reading the chapters, an easy A will be had. He does seem to come off as a bit pompous and is "a bs'er," but I thoroughly enjoy when he sticks it to students who think they are smarter than anyone else in the class. I wish all teachers were this open in showing their true personality.

shumlas ****ing rocks. THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. I definetley suggest his class. uses real life examples, not some drone spouting off complete sentences from the book. TEsts you on what he teaches, wouln't it be great if more teachers were him

Great teacher uses everyday examples to explain things, doesnt expect you to use all different kinds of math to figure out problems. Helpful in class and out of class, seems concerned with students. Take this teacher.
