I absolutely adore Susan! She is so kind, funny and understanding. You can tell that she really wants her students to take something away from the intro class. The topics we discussed were very interesting and eye opening. There was a lot of reading to do for homework, but it was definitely manageable. I would definitely recommend this class!

If you're on Susan's good side, then you'll be fine. If you don't have the Brokett textbook, you're screwed. There's only 4 real grades in the class-midterm, final, short research paper, and long research paper. Do well on those and you'll be fine.

Susan is a nice woman, but other ratings are accurate as far as her dominating feminism. Relatively easy grader, especially for anyone used to English profs. Exams can be lengthy; be terse! Inconsistent director at best.

Great prof and director, and wonderful person! She was my friend and mentor throughout college, and her influence on my life has been invaluable! I learned a lot from her, and miss her classes greatly!

Enjoyable class, just make sure you do the reading assignments for class. It Feels kinda stupid when you are asked what you think of a play and have no idea what it is about. Susan is awesome, just enjoy her class.

Prof. Russell is a pretty good teacher. She knows a lot about the subjects. But this class in particular was hard because of the amount of material she crammed into one semester. I have to admit that I got sick of hearing her feminist views.

Susan is an ok teacher. her main probelm is her political/feminist views that she has trouble keeping out of the course material. she also grades papers very hard. otherwise she's likeable enough.
