I've had Teddy for a few classes, and she seems intimidating at first, but is one of the most caring professors I've ever had. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands and is by far my favorite prof at IWU.

I don't know why Teddy has so many bad ratings, I thought she was a great professor. She was very friendly and always willing to help us. She wasn't that hard and made a class I really didn't want to take actually bearable.

One time Teddy couldn't get the projector working so she just pointed the remote at the machine and whispered "I think it's the bulb" over and over again. Priceless. And she was totally cool about letting me out of a "mandatory" attendance session just because I told her my grandma died so that I could go see Phish. For real though, my grasp of simple math borders on retardation and she was wicked patient with me.

At first I didn't like her, but as the semester went on I could see how much she cared for her students and their progress. She was a little unclear in class but make sure to ask questions and she will be more than willing to answer. I would go in with an open mind.

i'm so glad this woman backed down from her position as head of international studies. now i have a decent advisor. her advising would'be prevented me from taking the course concentrations i wanted to as a double major, for absolutely no valid reason.
