Be prepared for his smart comments but once you get to know him better he's actually really funny. This class is very challenging as you must prove your arguments thoroughly with evidence. PLEASE don' skip class and don't be afraid to ask questions. You also have all semester to turn in the 9 briefs assigned. You'll leave smarter than before!

This class was super intimidating at first but was not hard at all. The only reason I didnt like the class was because I was put with a bad group for one of the groups projects. There are 9 briefs due throughout the semester. Dont wait to turn them in. You can continue to turn them in until you get the grade you want. Use that to your advantage.

Professor Decker is amazing! Only 9 briefs, 2 group pres, 1 solo, & NO TESTS. He doesnt grade briefs if you get below a C, & if you dont like your grade you can redo briefs until you get the grade you want. I was hardly in class but showed up for major assaignments & still got an A. It gets easier after the first 3 briefs. Highly recommended!

His class consists of 9 briefs which can be a little hard to find and write at first but then you get the hang of it and make sure your presentations are on point because he will question you about the topic you chose. Overall, hard class but if you work hard you will get an A as i did.

Professor Decker is a sarcastic person. The first class he berated everyone and continued to do this through out the course. You get to be afraid to answer questions. But, it's kind of like teasing and he just has this quirky sense of humor you get used to. He doesn't put grades on Blackboard. :/ Grading is tough, but you get multiple chances.

Professor Warren is by far the most influential professor at george mason university . You will learn more in this class then you will have ever thought, I have been able to use the knowledge of critically thinking and debate even outside of the classroom. An overall easy level class, is slightly intimidating at first, but best prof. Ive ever had.

Honestly, this professor is clueless and he just likes talking nonstop about random stuff to kill class time. He will embarrass the hell out of you in front of everyone. Absolutely boring class, avoid if you can! You won't learn much, I'd rather learn something for the money I pay for my classes. Avoid at all costs.

Professor Decker is A Wonderful professor; although, very intimidating! Please don't think that you know everything because he will embarrass you... On another note, you learn how to argue effectively in his class and back your argument up with solid facts. 9 briefs, 2 presentations, no paper final and no textbook. Class highly recommended!

I really enjoyed prof. Decker's class, it has been one of my favorites at Mason. He doesn't take attendence regularly, however I would recommend attending classes if you want an A (obviously). Great professor, easy course, and you definitely get out what you put into it.

Decker is AMAZING! Very smart and engages the class in discussions. He will want you to SPEAK UP in class, and answer confidently. Even if he shuts you down, PARTICIPATE. We never used the book, can redo assignments until they are 100%, and classes were very interesting! Loved this class, learned A LOT, and use what I learned in other classes!

Great professor overall. Comes off as intimidating but once you learn that he is just being sarcastic and really knows his stuff, it makes the class a lot easier. 9 briefs due, and 2 presentations. My favorite professor I have had at GMU. The people that don't like him obviously just never went to class or cared at all. Yes, he's a hard ass but that's the best part about him. He may make you feel stupid, but he'll give you credit for trying. And the assignments are absurdly easy, he lets you re-do them all semester. Easy A and fun lecture.
