I loved Yvonne's class! You can tell she really cares that everyone gets the material. Attendance is mandatory for maintaining your grade as well as keeping up with the material, but she is very understanding. The homework can be a lot, don't leave it until the night before. She does cold-call on people, so be prepared to participate.

Such a sweet lady. Does a lot to make sure everyone understands the content. Great study guides before exams which are 50% of your grade. You will participate even if you dont want to, she will call on you. Homework can be overwhelming at times but is manageable. Cant wait to take 102 with her next semester.

Yvonne is one of the sweetest professors I've had. She tries really hard to make the class engaging while still teaching you. You definitely have to show up and do the hw, but as long as you put in the effort, she makes it easy for you to do well. She gives you adequate review materials on Blackboard for tests, and there are a few speaking tests.

Participation matters a lot and cannot be avoided. She will call on you. German is hard. There is a lot of homework. There are a few group projects. Many exams. She tried to help me because I was doing terrible in the class. I still did terrible, mostly because of laziness. The extra credit is pretty easy definitely and saved me. She's nice.

Yvonne is absolutely amazing. If you have the opprotunity to take a class with her, do it. She's so sweet, and so understanding. I had an extremely tough semester due to personal issues, and she could not have been more supportive. This is the least stressful class I have.

Class was brutal. Numerous useless group exercises. Good grades are handed out only with stinginess. Teacher seems oblivious to fact that you are probably taking 4 other classes on top of hers. Workload is heavy. Avoid if you're looking for an easy and fun elementary German class.
