Do not take this professor unless its your only option. Treats you as if its a middle school classroom and you have no experience in school. Makes you do notecards for EVERY term I the book for a grade, has unclear criteria (will give 0 points for essays not revised even if A grade material), tedious, time consuming work. Dont do it.

She is passionate about history. However for an entirely lecture based class, she communicates horrendously little. it took a class wide half an hour long session after class to even understand what the first assignment even was. She grades on arbitrary criteria, entirely separate from her rubrics- there is no winning even if you work hard n smart

She will drop you if you miss a single discussion board the FIRST week of classes. Then email you on Canvas on a Sunday and give you only until 5pm to reply. If you don't reply she'll drop you, which is very unfair. Canvas doesn't always show all of the discussion boards.

She is a very nice person and genuinely wants each student to pass the class, although she is confusing. Her grading criteria is confusing but she gives opportunity to re do the assignments. The online textbook had a lot of complications, she spent a lot of class time explaining how to use it or do assignments & lectures are difficult to follow.

Professor Myers is an awesome teacher! I have learned so much in her class. I was not used to her style at first and kind of got nervous, but it turned out great!

Wow she is an amazing teacher! She tries for everyone to pass her class. She is very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. Her homework id just one paragraph summary and your opinion on it. If you miss something on your paper, just hop in her office, see what you missed and she will help you out. Second half of the semester its only summary's.

Definitely the easiest online class I have taken. I never stressed on the quizzes since there was an opportunity to retake. Very clear on what she wants on discussion board posts. Definitely taking her again for History 51.

Professor Myers is a good teacher and all. but first assignment that was due i received 50%, I have no idea why, I had done extensive research but she had not provided any explanation whatsoever. She can't explain herself what she expects to see in the assignment. Unclear questions on tests. Lectures were the usual. Would not recommend taking her.

I really like Mrs. Myers. I think she is a great person, with a heap of enthusiasm, and it is easy to tell that she tries very hard with her class. The problem comes with clarity. almost every assignment/preparation involved in this class was confusing in direction, and had too much grey area.

Aimee is incredibly hard to understand. She tries so hard and really wants her students to succeed but she is terrible at giving direction in class. I spent the entire semester living in a state of ambiguity because she could not give a solid "this is what I want from you guys" she requires you make flash cards, which is just a waste of time.

She was very helpful and nice. Many complain about hard tests, they just didn't prepare. She allows cheat sheets for tests and almost everything is covered in her lectures. Responded quickly to emails and lectures weren't completely boring.

Her tests are extremely difficult. However, she does her job very well and works hard. Answers e-mails promptly. Her lectures are elaborate and detailed, very interesting. She actually takes time to look over the exam questions making sure they are fair after we take the test. One of the best teacher's I have had.

She is easy to work with, and has responded to my messages pretty quickly. Her tests are pretty difficult though. I have gotten 100 percent on all discussion board posts, but never do well on my tests so pulling an A is difficult. In order to get A's on DB posts you have to be very thorough with strong writing skills or you won't do well.

Comment:

Professor Myers is excellent! She is very thorough and works hard to teach students the material. Her assignments on discussion board are really fun to do as well. I am learning so much from her. She may not be an easy grader, but the point of school is to learn, and you definitely get your money's worth by taking this class. Great teacher!

Very sweet and nice professor, and very approachable when it comes to asking questions. Considering other history professors can be cranky andor scary..... Professor Myers will help you out if you need help with your grade :)

HORRIBLE!Unclear, unorganized prof.VERY hard exams worth most of your grade.If you cant find EXACT line in text for each question you are screwed even if you studied.NO response to email.Made me retake an exam because SHE had posted the wrong one!Misspells terms on study guide and if you enter the CORRECT term in fill the blank you get it wrong!BAD

Pro Meyers is awesome! For homework there was a weekly discussion, As long as you read the selection and put some thought you will be fine, there are a total of 3 tests including the final, yes they are challenging but she gives you a study guide which was a big help! She also takes feedback and will alter assignments/tests if needed.

Aimee is a really nice person. I liked listening to her lectures after the other two history professors I had, so that was a plus. Writing assignments are really easy. Tests and quizzes are hard!!! You need to come to class and take a lot of notes and keep up with the study guides.
