this is a golden professor. she makes herself crystal clear in what she wants, so when it comes to test time there is no doubt. she is going to brazosport college, man they are lucky! uhcl has a bureacratic system that she did not succumb to...you go dr. p. she is a learned person, not to mention well grounded. i suggest her to anyone. What a wonderful time I had with this class. I am really going to miss Dr. Petrovich, she was one of the best professors that I have ever had. If you did not get the chance to take her, you do not know what you have missed. Thanks for a great last semester. We will all miss you Dr. Petrovich!!!

Very much worth the taking. Too bad she is leaving after the summer 2005. A mountain of knowledge, has done TONS, I mean TONS of research on colonialzation throughout the world. Very much enthusiastic, will make you work, but fair and down the line.

I will be taking her again this summer as I did last summer. It should be a wonderful time again. She is a wonderful teacher and funny and tells you exactly what she wants from you. If you did not do well or thought her class was a waste of time then you were not paying attention of you have a different style of learning. This prof is the best!

let me just say that i had no interest whatsoever in learning abut texas history prior to taking her class- but it was probably the most entertaining and fun class I have ever taken! - she is a great story teller and provides all sorts of fascinating anecdotes - intriguingly she also a former MD?!

OK, she's a great storyteller, the problem is, she is telling stories. I found constant errors in her lectures. I am a history major and plan to teach history and came out of her class knowing I had wasted my time and money-but got an A. Very bad teacher.

She is the single most enjoyable and informative instructor at UHCL. The fact that Petrovich is not a full time faculty member is illustrative of the politics involved in obtaining a position at Clear Lake. Take her every chance that you have.
