Dr. Dooley taught me skills I still use today, including editing, searching for main points and identifying details in fiction that support the theme. He cares about his subjects and enjoys when his students show participation enough to care as well. One of the best professors at Kent State.

I specifically picked a class at random that he was teaching before he retired. He was awesome. He had a tendancy to go off on a rant about something totally unrelated, but he always managed to bring it full circle.

the man said he'd learn our name depending on our grade. spoke poorly about particular thesis writers. squeezed his job in between his v. important gold outings. incessant chatter. never said anything of substance or worth. Way to go Dooley!

Dooley is brilliant and hillarious! He is extremely passionate about Shakespeare and will go off on the greatest rants! I went to class and read the plays the weekend before the exams- it really helped because he already explained what was going on.

I NEVER EVER went to class and when I did I slept through it because his teaching style wasn't my style. I turned in papers to his office and kept on task through my friends in the class who actually went. And somehow I still got an A.
