Dr. Lynch is amazing. He knows what he's talking about. He gives great examples that directly relate to what he is teaching. He is really big on note taking and reading the book, but you will be just fine if you don't read the book and just take notes. I highly recommend him.

Very nice guy, very poor teacher. Obvisously a smart guy, flies through examples at the speed of light and moves on to telling some funny stories. Class isin't hard but didn't learn much either.

Awesome guy, really funny and knows its hard to sit through a TR class for an hour and 15 minutes so tries to break up the lectures with college stories and such. There are 3 tests that are decent is you study even a little bit and attend MOST classes. You could probably do fine without attending and just reading the book and vice versa.

He teaches Principles of Microeconomics, various senior level econs, and Business Quant. His classes are hard, and he does not care if you skip, but no one ever does. His tests are challenging, but his lectures make it clear what will be covered. MOST HELPFUL TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! He definitely goes the extra mile to help his students.

He doesn't put much effort into his class. He's more concerned with basketball and getting in the news than teaching. He's a nice guy, just don't expect much from him outside of class.

To do well, use the "Gwartney Xtra" website and do the self quizes. Also, go back and look at the tests. All of your grade is based on three or four tests -- they're Scantron...whoopee! The tests are worded differently than the way he presents the concepts in class. He's also not a definition/name/date person...more interested in the process.

His tests are a little tough, if you do all the practice questions online you should do well. The information is boring, but he throws in some funny stories here and there. Every lecture will mention beer, pizza, and FSU.

Tests are tricky, lots of made-up answers. They are mostly common-sense, opinion type questions, so not dependant upon course material. No attendance policy but you need to go!

Dr. Lynch is a very tough teacher, but he is one of the best at Mercer. He explain things well and he expects you to do some work on your own. If you have to take 350, take it with him and you'll learn a lot. He's also a really funny guy.
