By far the best math professor at fordham! He is the nicest guy outside of class and he teaches in the easiest way possible so everyone understands the main concepts. If you do not do well in this class, its because you didn't do the homework. Make sure you hand in the homework to get a 5 point bonus on your test

Math Modelling is an easy class and if you took a class in Linear Algebra the last few weeks will be a cakewalk. He administers one midterm and final, and assigns eight computer projects, most of which can be completed in 1-2 hours. Optional homework from a textbook he wrote himself (its free and comes with solution manual). A real gem.

Calc II consisted of two midterms and a final exam. He assigns optional homework which isn't graded; it only serves for your benefit. Some may find his tests difficult, but if you show up for lecture (attendance not mandatory) and take notes (he spends all class working out problems) and do some of the homework, getting a good grade will be easy.

Best math professor in Fordham University. If you really work hard you will get an A. Exams tend to be a little bit difficult because he wants you to understand the material perfectly. Highly recommend him!!

B-?! I thought this was because I didn't do the homework and was just rewriting my notes and practicing from his examples, but no HIS TESTS ARE JUST IMPOSSIBLE. One time he told the class "I didn't expect any of you to get this one"... THEN WHY'D YOU PUT IT ON THE EXAM MY MAN? Anyway, wouldn't recommend for 3-2 or if you care for your gpa at all :/

Prof Marotto explains everything using the simplest way. Everyone will be able to understand. He does not check hw, but you can ask him questions regarding the hw anytime. Tests (3) are hard but he gives sample questions ahead of time and shows you how to solve each question in very detailed steps. Lectures can be boring but needed for a good grade

If this is your first Math class at Fordham I highly recommend this professor. Go to class and take notes, his lecture is great. Only 3 exams, they are challenging; however, he is very clear on what to expect and will provide a sample of the previous semester's exam. If you are struggling do the homework, it will earn you a better grade.

Go to class, listen and you'll be fine. By far the best Math teacher. Explains everything clearly. Don't have to show up. Textbook are not necessary if you go to his lecture, I never do the homework assigned.

Not a huge fan of math & he didn't help. Class is all lecture and very boring. Hard to pay attention and often over-explains (more than needed). Attendance and homework not mandatory. Only 3 tests for entire grade and they're much harder than his examples. If naturally good at math and disciplined you should be okay but I struggled with him.

Marotto made Calc II about as clear and easy to understand as it can be made. Grade is three exams. They are challenging, but not impossible, and partial credit is given when understanding is apparent. Also he applies a scale at the end.

Professor Marotto was a bit boring. He would occasionally throw some jokes in there but really simply presented the material. He presented the material well and was clear in explaining what will be on the exams. Actual grades were the averages of exam grades...so you have to study for his class+be actually able to do it to do well.

The class could be considered fast-paced, but you will definitely learn and not fall behind. The textbook use is not necessary because the notes suffice as he gives many examples. If you are looking for a supplementary reading for Calculus, you one of the AP Calculus Review books. 3 Exams in total.

A great math professor. He explains everything really well, but his exams are difficult. Do the homework because that will help you prepare for his quizzes/exams. He's really funny though and I love going to his class!

HE LOOKS LIKE A SILVER FAIRY. he talks like kermit but he's funny in an offbeat way, and he explains things fairly well. He kinda doesn't care much about getting to know students, but that's because he's so legit. Google him. A really smart man, and he's awesomely forgiving. ATTENDANCE NOT MANDATORY! WHOO!

He kept class interesting and as fun as math can possibly be. Very clear in class, but fast paced. He was approachable and helpful. Could have been more thorough in the review for the midterm and final-some material on tests was not covered in class. I would highly recommend his class.

This guy is such a dork. He was extremely boring, and lame- only worsening the stereotype of calculus professors. He deadened my enthusiasm by frequently repeating how we would never use this math in the real world, when in fact only HE doesn't- calculus can be used for economics and in the corporate world. His explanations are dorky-NOT layman's.
