This class was super interesting but when he is doing lecture it is just like the textbook almost word for word and can get boring but in class discussion is very interesting.

He's hilarious. He does not have the clearest grading criteria which could be dangerous in a class with 6 assignments total. However, he knows his stuff. Great lectures. Just make sure your'e clear on the essays. Show up and pay attention and there's no reason you can't earn an A.

If you're looking for an easy A then I'd say this class is a given. Book "required" but if you take notes during his lectures (essentially just going through each section in the book) then you wont need it. The man really is super nice, but class is pretty boring most of the time given that lectures are so long. 4 essay like tests, 1 group project

Overall, the class is an easy A but his lectures take up about 75% of the class time, on top of his monotone radio commentator voice. 5 tests and no homework. His book is "required" but if you can take good notes during class, you can pass his tests. Just read more at home.

Very confusing, doesn't give good feedback at all. Also needs to be more strict, as people in class make a lot of noise, making it hard to focus, because they know they can, only because he doesn't stand up for himself and make sure that people pay attention. Will not take again

This class is the easiest / most boring A you will ever get, but for me.. as a business major who wanted to learn good lessons on ethics/critical thinking he did a terrible job, examples he did were stupid was not clear pretty much taught my self the stuff i wanted to learn

Class is super boring but a very easy grade! The professor is very kind and helpful. He offers two take home test and two in class which are basically short essays, just memorize a few of the philosophical theories and you should get an A. The group project was pointless but an easy grade, basically get to work 20 min on it every class.

I wanted to take this class but now I regret taking it with this professor. He was soooooo boring and did not teach much. He is pretty easy but not clear at all. Four reports and one group report is all you do.

Comment:
The class has potential, but the examples used to clarify the theories discussed in class made the subject itself very basic and disinteresting. Textbook is required and expensive even when renting. The professor was too scatter-brained for my tastes, but he is a very kind and understanding professor overall.

This is the MOST boring class I have EVER taken!! Prof. wrote the book that is used in his class so if you miss a class just read the book. There are 4 tests 2 in class and 2 take home and 1 group project which is mostly done in class. Easy to ace class as long as you nail your tests.

I have never been more bored in my life. But on the bright side, half of his tests were take home and if you study, the rest of the tests are pretty easy. No homework, just 1 project. Not hard at all, just boring. I skipped most of the time and still got a B.

He's the easiest, calmest, funniest philosophy professor ever! He had two take home tests and two in class tests. The final is take home test of the fourth section - a piece of cake. But the only thing is tests are 90% of the grade. no homework. attendance 5% and participation 5%. good look! :)

When I first registered I thought I was gonna sleep throughout the class because it was at 7am, but he made the class so interesting and funny that I didnt want it to end. He is very open-minded, participation is recommended. Very clear in his explanations and willing to answer any questions you may have. I recommend him 100%

Alexander is a great professor but I think an interest in the subject matter is required to fully appreciate his eccentric teaching style. He's entertaining and will go over anything you have questions on. His class is easy, just take notes/read. You'll never forget him. He's pleasant and understanding if you ever have an issue. Highly recommended.

This is a good class. Its pretty interesting and not that difficult. Prof. Alexander is really nice and respectful. The class mostly consists of group projects and the final exam is a paper. Attendance is mandatory, but the class can hold your attention.
