Dr. Silver is honestly my favorite professor at Mercer. She's very caring and passionate about her work. I have taken two of her classes, and both were discussion based but not in an intimidating kind of way.

Dr. Silver made me appreciate and fall in love with poetry. She is an amazing professor and she cares so much about each of her students. As long as you are prepared and participate in class, you will do well. She is always willing to review and edit your papers for her class. I highly recommend her and would definitely take her again.

Dr. Silver is really engaging when it comes to class discussion and truly considers and responds to every student's contribution and encourages the class to do the same. She's very down to earth with a serious passion for poetry and shares it so well both academically and personally. She also has great wit and insight!

Dr. Silver was a kind, funny professor. She is super sweet and loves participation. The class was discussion based and participation was necessary. The class was based on fairy tales (which was freaking awesome). She gives great feedback on writing and is an overall great teacher.

Dr. Silver is so great at facilitating phenomenal discussion in her class. Instead of telling us what to think, she allows us come to our own conclusions and then helps us refine them through group discussion and feedback.

I had very little interest in the class, but Dr. Silver's passion made class time engaging anyway. She's very willing to help and work with you and a very nice person in general. She wants engaged conversation, so do the readings.

Absolutely loved her class. Hands down favorite class. Do your reading, be prepared for class, and class will be a breeze. Mostly discussion based in my experience. Relatively easy class, but tough grader. Very stringent grader. If an average writer don't be disappointed with a C or a B on a paper. INT topic is Fairytales.

Wonderful professor. Helpful, interesting, and extremely compassionate and witty. She is very widely read and enthusiastic about literature. Everyone should take her at some point. Just be sure to read and participate in class. She loves engaged students, so take care to think critically and express yourself.

My favorite professor at Mercer by far. Her FYS class changed my life. Discussion is always great and I really look forward to class. I hated writing and English before taking her, but she makes me want to major in it. She truly cares about each person.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! She's so easy to talk to and even if someone makes a wild comment during discussion, she's not afraid to hear that person out. Class is always interesting; it's the one class I truly look foreward to. Honestly, she makes me wish I was an English major!!

Dr. Silver's 480S course was definitely one of the best I had at Mercer. She is so sweet and makes everyone want to talk in class.
