I took him for soc 101 I swear I hated this class! If your a developing writer do not take his class . He is not the kind of professor that is willing to explain things clearly . Whether it's a writing assignment or just homework ! Don't do it !

I have been studying at CCP for two years now. This is the best professor I've had so far. He's a great teacher because he wants his students to LEARN. If you are someone who wants to understand your own tendencies and learn about the people around you, TAKE THIS CLASS! It's wonderful.

You either love or hate the guy. I don't fancy him too much. Don't expect an easy A. I didn't favor his approach. He scolds you and tries to force you to learn the material instead of being supportive. It's 101, yet he expects you to be an expert. I'm passing his class but disappointed in the professor and his way of teaching.

Mixed feelings here. He's okay BUT highly arrogant. He will make u feel as inferior as possible. and for being a class of sociology he really likes to mention religion and try to deny God's existence. Avoid at all cost.

Best teacher i ever had. He really cares about his students. He pushes u to ur potential. He demands a fair amout of work. His tests demand a lot of studing because nothin is opinion based, every thing is from the book, or class lecture. If your a hard working student who wants to learn, i strongly recomend this teacher. However, if u are looking for an easy A this is not the right class for you. This teacher clearly enjoys teaching and he is very smart i would take another class by him any day.

Great professor, I didn't do well myself but I didn't study much. I always looked forward to his classes because he always had the best stories, and covered each topic well. He likes his yankees too for some reason...Yankees suck, but it's cool, he's good yo, take em.

Letme first say that I have not gotten my fall'11 grade yet so this rating is based solely on Mr. Perlman's character. Though he can be loud, obnoxious, and even confrontational, this man is genuine. I am a thirty-six year old male who is a very very good judge of character. If you are interested in learning, then you should take Mr. Perlman's class

Never had sociology before and at first he was intimidating. He loves what he does and if you show an interest and is willing to work hard he will definitely help u. He does not tolerate bad behavior and he grades fairly. I got a A for his class and that A i knew I worked for. If u like easy A's dont take him, if u like a challenge then go for it!!

Worst professor EVER! He really sucks. The only way you would pass is if you sit at home and read everything he assigns and literally master it. There is no point in going to class because you can teach it to yourself at home. Class is a waste of time and he rarely showed up to class. By the end of the semester there were about 7 people left.

Probably one of the best lecturers at CCP. Although he is a good teacher, his work is hard and if you dont answer it correct, he makes you look reaaall dumb. You get all of these boring readings that make no sense but he goes over it and makes it simple.

I dont need a prof to hold my hand through a course. I want one who is passionate about his field and expects that from me. This guy is passionate. To students who are used to the easy A stuff, he may come off as a tuff stick, but if you make it to the end you will notice that out of all your classes, his work is the only stuff you remember through

At first I wasn't too crazy about this professor I thought his teaching style was all over the place. In actuality he is kind of a good professor, he is passionate about his teachings and tries to pull info out of your brain that you probably didn't know was there. I'm actually withdrawling from the class but I will be taking it again with him.

This was the only class that I didnt get an A in this semester. I am more proud of the C I got in his class. Whatever grade you get you will have earned it. He gives great lectures that make it almost impossible to be bored in his class. I would highly recommend his class to anyone. You may get an easy A in another class, but Mr Perlman is the best

The answer to his questions are either what he just said, on the board, or in the textbook, is what he says. There were like 30 students, by the final, there was 9. I missed the writing assignments purposely but its cool the tests are alright if you read your stuff. The only professor who kept me awake during a 3 hour class. Take this dude yo.

Perlman doesn't present info objectively. Seems to be very combative, even from day one. Generally, he had a bad attitude and because of this isn't very inspiring.

I personally enjoy professors that have high expectations of their students and make you earn your A, and while Perlman is one of these teachers, I do not look forward to his class in the slightest bit. He is engaging, but is rarely satisfied with any answer. He does a good job at killing any chance for open dialogue. Seeing that he is the...

pretty much the best prof i've had at CCP. He let's you know exactly what he expects. He challenges you to be a better student all around. He is very clear in his lectures, and you can tell he enjoys teaching. He can be a big jerk, but he can also be pretty awesome. You will likely love, hate, enjoy, and be frustrated by his class all at once.

Most people do not favor Mr.Pearlman because he is a teacher that makes you work for the grade and doesn't hand you an A, he wants to you understand the coursework not just memorize the textbook. Even though I only had a C I learned a lot in his class and believe he made me a better student. If you read the assigned chapters, listen to him when he
