He's Dad-Joke funny. Always answers emails in a timely manner. Laid back. Easy class. Weekly open notes/book quizzes. This is a straightforward, informative and easy class. One 10-page paper at the end but, if you work on it a little at a time, is no problem!

Be ready to teach yourself. Most classes are wasted talking about random things. Most assignments are busy work. Assigns long papers and doesn't give feedback. Admits that he doesn't read most of them. Does not post grades so you will have no idea where you stand in the class.

Dobrin is a wonderful teacher, he really is passionate about the subject he teaches and is always willing to help. He is a very well rounded and always has stories that help you learn more about the subject. LOVED HIS CLASSES!!

Great class, he covers interesting topics. Even if you are not a SW major (i am not) I would recommend his class. You learn a lot just about life in general. Not to mention he's easy on the eyes. The tests suck but he sets it up that if you're a "bad test-taker" you can still pass the class with a decent grade.

i learned more in his class then in any others combined. He smiles, relates to us, is humerous and most of all he doesnt try to intimidate us with his geniusness...some teachers need to take this hint

Wow. 1) Hot 2) Intelligent 3) Charismatic 4) Funny 5) Thorough. You will learn so much from Dr. Dobrin. His tests are LONG, and his projects are somewhat ridiculous - agency visits, watching CSPAN, etc. Classes are AMAZING and he covers a lot of material. SWOON!

Dr. Dobrin is 1 of the best prof's i've ever had. His classes are challenging, and he pushes you to do the best you can, but if you are actually SERIOUS about your degree, you will learn an amazing amount from him, in a wide variety of areas.

Dr. Dobrin is a great professor. He's very challenging yet very helpful and clear in his teaching style. His workload can be a little overbearing at times, but he's flexible once you get past the first semester of class with him.
