Casey is a great professor. There will likely be a few lectures that are hard to understand but he is very approachable and is always joking around. During the daily 10 point quizzes Casey explains every question is and is open to your questions throughout. Everything is open notes and he drops the lowest 5 grades at the end of the semester

This class is quite confusing. He lectures for an hour, then at the end there is a 10 point quiz. You must go to class to do the (open note) quizzes, as those are the ONLY points in the class. No homework. You MUST take notes during lecture cuz the questions are tricks! No textbook needed. I liked him as a person, but the quizzes were complicated.

Caseys class was extremely hard. I am usually an A student and I struggled to get an A-. At the end of every lecture there is a 10 point 10 question quiz. They are true or false but have confusing and twisted questions. You have to learn how Casey wants his questions answered and go to as many lectures as possible. Not a good Professor.

Great teacher loved his class has funny jokes. Made the class really enjoyable doesn't make you pay all that money for a textbook and allows a 10 minuet break most days.

I took an intro Philosophy class with Swank. He was a really cool dude and pretty relatable. There was a 10 point quiz after each class, which was the only thing you would get graded on. I really did not understand the material, and my class was so big I didn't feel as though he really cared about me succeeding or wanting to help.

Casey is an awesome professor. His classes are based on lectures, and you are only graded by 20 of your best quizzes, out of the 25 that you do. The quizzes are at the end of most classes and are easy 10 pointers. I am very happy to have taken his class.

At first, I was not excited about this class, because it is philosophy. Mr. Swank does an amazing job with really making you think deep about the material he teaches. No text book, but he sends material via email, which you should print off. The daily quizzes can be rather tricky, so take your time and use your notes. Would love to have him again!

I took this class simply to fill a goal area to graduate. You'll have a quiz at the end of almost every class. There is not text required but he will email you notes before class. I would suggest printing off the notes and bringing them to class as it help you follow along with his lectures and his quizzes are open note. Some quizzes are tricky.

Casey is different from other professors. He doesnt care about homework or exams but he does give a quiz every day you have class, and that is how you get all of your points. The quizzes are 10 points and true or false, but don't let this fool you because they are kind of hard. He uses confusing short hand and difficult concepts.

Casey is a cool guy. Loves to play his trumpet in front of the class. If you don't understand philosophy very well this class might be tough for you, but you won't fail. He grades you by your quiz scores, which there's 25 total; he drops 5 of them that aren't the best. He talks pretty much all of the class period but gives a 4-5 minute break.

Very relaxed class. He gives lectures everyday and ends most classes with a 10 point true or false quiz based on the lecture of that day. Whenever I answer incorrectly, his explanation always makes me understand my mistakes. Class goes by very quickly. He does not use D2L, but will email optional assignments every week to sharpen your knowledge.

Being that this was a philosophy class it was a little hard to understand, but he did his best to make sure everyone was in the same boat. One T/F quiz everyday with a couple dropped at the end. Watch out for the wording on his questions. No homework. Super nice guy!

His lectures are interesting and very polished. Casey is also very entertaining and quite hilarious. Only negative to the class are the quizzes at the end, they can be very confusing but luckily he drops the lowest 5 and his grading scale is very lenient.

Absolutely clueless. Has no idea what philosophy is. Didn't even get an A and would stump him in his office when explaining my exam answers. If you want to waste your time and learn what philosophy IS NOT, go for it
