She is amazing, and is so sweet!! but the only thing is that she gives a lot of papers to do! and I mean a lot! but if you keep up with her assignments on the due date and assist to class you will be fine.

She gives the most boring lectures ever. What made her lectures even more boring was her annoying squeaky voice. Grades very toughly to the point where you begin to think that you might be the problem but its her grading system. A very rude professor. Do not take her.

Very fun and interesting class. She is an absolute sweetheart and loves teaching which translate in every student enjoying the class. Come to class everyday, MUST TAKE NOTES, participate in group work, do papers on time and you should breeze through the class. Would definitely recommend this class to everyone looking for a stress-free 2-3 hour clas

amazing teacher!! all she expects is for the students to show up, show an interest in the material, participate and do her assignments. offers all the help you want if you ask for it. if you got a poor grade its 100% your fault since shes constantly offering her help and making sure everyone understands the assignment. BEST ENGLISH TEACHER IN QCC!

"Beth" is god-awful. At first you really like her as a person but then this class becomes a nightmare. I took the 4 hour one and regretted it.1 part of class- hw, 2nd- 40 minute writing/ useless discussion, 3rd- boringmovies. you cannot leave or skip and your grade will suffer if you do. Everything is participation and A papers pale in importance

Without out a doubt one of the best English professors at QCC, Dr. Counihan is very ethusiastic about what she teaches and is very funny. She provides input on papers and advice to help you improve them. She can also be a silly at times but is also very encouraging. Just don't text in her class cause she will know and will call you call out.

Dr. Counihan is an amazinggggg English teacher! I definitely agree with the cuckoo comments, but I find it amusing lol :) She'll grow on you as the semester goes on. She lets you use your notes on her exams so take that to your advantage!! Oh yeah and NO TEXTER THINGYS!

AMAZING, she is one of the BEST English professors at QCC, if you have a chance to take her Reading and Writing about NY class you will LOVE it, it is VERY laid back and super easy, she is just strict about cell phone use during class. Assignments are fun and she does not give a final in the class just a final project in this class

Perfect professor. Understanding and will help you out with anything. Her classes are entertaining and she loves teaching. I would recommend her to everybody out there. Just do her assignments and attend class. Loved her and her class.
