Comment:

Dr. Brown is very scattered during her lectures and is not always helpful when answering questions. She often leaves you very confused especially when she tries to lecture 60+ powerpoint slides in a 50 minute lecture class. Would not recommend this professor unless you are willing to read the textbooks and learn on your own.

This teacher is disrespectful towards students asking questions. She loses her train of thought and will leave your questions unanswered and when she does answer then, the answers are not specific at all. The material does not match up to anything in the textbook and the learning objectives are not accurate.

Long story short, expect the unexpected. The tests aren't necessarily hard they just don't contain much of the information presented in class or on the study guides - read carefully. She is very enthusiastic and wants her students to learn. If you ever have questions she's always there to answer them, even if her answers don't make sense. Good luck

Worst teacher ever. I never learned anything during class. Even if we learned stuff in class you never knew what was on the tests. The only thing that helped me pass her class is that I went to the bio tutoring sessions (highly recommend). If you have a chance to switch out of er class do it!!

Hardest class of my life, the course itself is a total waste of time. She didn't grade anything yet (1week til end of classes). She is technologically challenged and should not be a teacher at this institution. I cant say anything good about this "Teacher." Oh, the quizzes? Try google because it is on a different spectrum than what we "learned".

Dr. Brown is friendly and passionate about plants! She goes through lectures quickly and they aren't very useful. The textbook is a better source of information. I would recommend using the textbook to study for her exams rather than her powerpoints and lectures. She also gives long assignments. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on this class!

If you read the chapters and do the learning objectives you will do FINE! Its common sense but you have to know your stuff. She is picky on the tests. This year she cut a lot of things out, so I think it is easy just a lot of work. She is nice just sometimes doesnt know what shes talking about and can be crazy. Its only one semester for bio.

Worst professor at naz. Doesn't know what she is talking about, unfair grader. Doesn't help when you ask for it. Some students are campaigning to get her fired. Don't take a class with this woman. She is terrible. She'll mark things wrong on your paper and give other people points for the same answer. She'll make you hate biology.

yuck, i am a bio major and did not like her class at all. she is waaayyyy too into plants and doesnt know a lot about anything else unless it is written in the book. if u dont have to take her, DONT! (idk about how she is in lab, though)

She loved plants wayyyy too much! All she did for us was read off of powerpoint slides, she was not very good at explaining things. She was better outside of class, but did not do everything she could to clarify the material. I would not reccommend her or take another class from her again.
