Sweetest guy ever! Brian is still late and disorganized like when he first started but I believe a lot better. He is such an understanding man when it comes to teaching and just talking. Easy grader and honestly, an easy A if you talk to him and participate. Thoroughly enjoyed FYS with him this year. Seriously, great man!

Brian is awesome, but like most comments, he is very disorganized. He always forget to put his assignments into Canvas or sent by email. Classes are fine, but you can hardly understand if you do not take your own time to study hard. You can stop by and ask him anytime. You will get a lot of handouts from him that will be easier for you to study.

If you get Campbell for FYS, get ready for a year of your life to be wasted. This class is really stupid. He's always 5 minutes late. We just sit there doing nothing for the rest of class. One week we watched the movie Cool Runnings on Youtube everyday for about 30 minutes of class because he got there late and didnt start class. Good Luck!

Brian is a very amiable man. However, he is HORRIBLY disorganized! A week after I turned in my senior composition project, I went to see him for feedback only to find that he had lost my score and recording! As a teacher for counterpoint, he was completely worthless and, as always, disorganized. He does teach orchestration passably well.

Such a hard teacher! Extremely disorganized, so much so that it affects students' work! Didn't give us our tests and homework back until three days before final! Makes it hard to study. Nice guy, just a horrible teacher!

Accepted any assignment at any time, even if it was two months late, didn't usually even mark it down for that. Very helpful, and not stringent with guidelines for assignments. Seems to change around his teaching style a lot, and it's better to get him when he's more paper/project oriented than when he's test oriented.

I was at SJU when Brian first started teaching...we thought him a little goofy at first and then realized he is a total nerd about music and that enthusiasm is infectious. This is a critical thinker who loves music and communicates that through a generally miserable class-music theory-even making it fun at times. Is down to earth and approachable
