Comment:

Dr. Granrud is one of the best professors Ive had at UNC. He is extremely intelligent and has great insight. He has a dry sense of humor, a calm demeanor, and truly cares about your academic experience. I would highly recommend him to any psychology majors who are truly interested in the field. The material is dense but he explains it thoroughly.

Comment:

Dr. G is great. He's a really nice guy, he breaks down the material and makes it understandable for his students. His lectures may seem dry but he's just very "to-the-point" with things and doesn't drag them out. Super easy class, and he's very knowledgeable- I would definitely recommend taking him.

Comment:

I took two classes with him. Stats and Sensation and Perception. Sensation and Perception has so far been my favorite psychology class it was super interesting and he is very knowledgeable! If you get a chance to take it you should definitely because although it might be difficult it will blow your mind how perception is handled. PPs online!

Comment:

Professor Granrud was one of my favorite professors at UNC. He was very knowledgeable and made sure the class was always prepared for his tests. Put in the work and it is easy to pass his classes.

Comment:

No textbook, just a packet you print off for like $8. The course is SUPER easy in the beginning but half way the pace takes off and you better actually go to class and do the practice problems (not graded) if you want to succeed on the tests. He's willing to work with you on deadlines, but he's not enthused by this course so don't push it.

Professor Granrud is really great at explaining things in an easy to understand way. Im so glad I took stats with him! The course packet was super useful and way better than having a book and his tests followed the practice tests exactly which is super helpful.

Great professor and great class! His humor is a little dry, but I thought he was hilarious. He's always willing to go over content more if you're struggling. Attendance isn't mandatory but exams are based 100% off lecture. He always goes over the reviews to make sure everyone is prepared for the quiz/exam. Take his class, you won't regret it!

Comment:

Dr. Granrud is one of the best professors I've had here. I had quite a difficult semester because of some personal issues and I even thought about dropping out, but Dr. Granrud was super understanding about everything. He even went as far as to rewrite a whole exam for me, and his comment about me being a great student encouraged me to continue. :D

The class is entirely lecture but he's so good at keeping it interesting. He's extremely perceptive of the class's energy and makes jokes to keep us interested. Attendance isn't mandatory, but the tests are 90% lecture. No assigned readings, but some of the test material comes from the book- it's easy to find.

This class was easily one of my favorite classes I have taken at UNC. The professor always responded in a timely manner and he was very willing to work with you if you needed an extension on a quiz or project. Quizzes and tests were very easy, as long as you write down vocab and had the book ready to look anything up. Would highly recommend.

Professor Granrud was so helpful. I took this class online. Every assignment and due date was outlined clearly. He always responded to emails very fast and helped me succeed in his class. Quizzes could be tricky sometimes but overall it was not too bad.

He goes above and beyond to make sure that each one of his students succeeds. His lectures are very good and I learned so much in this class. The study guides were super helpful for the tests. He grades everything fairly with helpful feedback and will help with understanding anything that is confusing.

Dr Granrud l is a great professor. He really wants his students to succeed and has open availability for office hours and is lenient about late work. Go to class, take notes and study for his tests. They are difficult but not impossible. He rounded up a friends grade so they would pass. Nice guy with a dry humor.

My class was online. The professor was very organized and laid out all the work that you had to do ahead of time, so there were absolutely no surprises. You should be able to get all the work done in 2-3 weeks, but you have 4. The papers don't need to be deep and the material was really interesting. You will read the entire book though.

His tests have multiple choice questions which is not really fit for math. With this in mind, the class wasn't so bad. He's very knowledgable, but lectures drag on for forever.

I was never great at math, but I somehow was able to score a 2425 on our first math quiz. As long as you show up and actually pay attention and do the homework, you will do great No textbook is required for this this course, because he prefers to have students print out handouts to use during lectures, which is great. Very great professor

I took this course over the summer online. This was the first online course I had taken. Granrud explained everything he expected from his students. His study guides were VERY helpful- making it easy to do well on exams and quizes. I reccommend taking this course online with Grandrud. He's kind and always willing to help.
