Dr. Durrani is a good professor. The supersite you have to purchase is a little pricey for the course, but the homework on it is easy to follow and offers re-attempts. The exams are difficult, but if you study you will do good. She also offers students the chance to retake one of the exams that you did not do well on.

Do not take this class hoping for an easy A. This course requires you to buy an expensive supersite, where all of your work is done except tests. The lectures, tests, and assignments on the supersite do not match up because the professor makes her own tests. Lectures are often confusing and go ahead of material being covered.

She's literally always in her office and willing to help. The class is tough but easily passable. Her exams are very difficult but if you are serious about learning French or Spanish she will help you learn.

Comment:

Sra. Durrani is a fantastic professor. I love having her! However, she seems to believe that everyone only has her class and no others. Supersite is not enjoyable at all for me, and I do not learn from it. However, she will definitely help you outside of the classroom. Be prepared, though. She's quite chatty. :)

Comment:

Very helpful out of class, very friendly, and offers good discussion every day. However, lessons may feel a bit disjointed, as she is prone to going off on some tangents. Be prepared to read a lot and work hard. DICTIONARY IS A MUST! SPAN 202 was much easier to work in than 201 and as said before, the teacher was very helpful out of class.

Great professor. If your looking to be prepared for writing papers in 301 and so on, then take her. Requires a lot of work and study time from students, but it's college. Students earn their grades. Best professor I've had yet!

She's a great teacher, she will sit and explain things with you in her office for as long as necessary. She requires a lot of study time but if you really want to learn, and if you want someone who can explain verb concepts well- take her. She is sooo nice and you will learn a lot, as long as you pay attention,do your work, and don't miss class.

i took her for a few days of summer spanish. shes too hard to understand. i missed the first day of class, and she refused to let me participate in class for 3 days. then i dropped the class.
