Amazing, she knows what she is talking about, will help whenever you need it, she makes learning sign language so easy (you learn bad words =]) and she is so funny. You need your book (there is a DVD/VHS but you don't need it) and you must go to class. I had it FRI/SAT for one month, fun and easy A, I am going to try and take ASL 2 if I can. TAKE

ASL1 - amazing! funnest class I've ever taken! NEED the book... need to practice outside of class but it's fun - not really like homework - easy class if you participate and practice the signs.. she's a nice and funny lady.. ASL is amazing!

This is a very fun class. I had it on the weekend once a month and it was not bad. It is very interesting and fun to learn. You need the textbook because there is all of the vocab in it, but it's worth it. I loved this class and I wish there was another ASL class to take after this one! Take it with Carol! VERY FUN!

Carol was the nicest most helpful professor I have ever had. She makes sign language so intresting and so easy to pick up. She uses the book a lot which really helps you learn it and practice it while you are at home. I never recieved below a B on anything. She definatly challenges you but make sure you understand everything!

Carol is a lot of fun. Teaches ASL & about Deaf culture. Does demonstrate "inappropriate" signs- so as to avoid their further use. Games can be a bit redundant. Extra assignments aren't too bad.

Carol is awesome. The games are a fun way to learn sign language vs. just drilling it. I like that we also learn about deaf culture. She's also got a great sense of humor, especially when it comes to making sure you don't use the wrong signs.
