Very clear and concise on the lectures, to the point where you will understand even if you are half-awake. I am a bad test taker, but I do very well on her exams, even without studying them. The Homework is very easy as all you have to do is remember to log on this program and get the free 100 for an hour a week. CON: Expensive ($200) and bad UI.

Dr. Sanftner-McGraw is a great prof. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about abnormal psych. Weekly online reading and assignments, 4 exams + final, a few homework assignments (reading&questions, diagnosing activity, addiction simulation). Exams aren't awful, but you do have to study. Attendance taken each class. Bonus opportunities!

Dr. Sanfner is extremely devoted to the field of Psychology. She has her moody days, but I cannot help but respect her for her vast knowledge and experience. MUST buy the textbook, you can breeze by with a low B or C without it but 80% of the info I learned in the Psych field came from her classes. She will prepare you for life after college. TAKE

Very knowledgeable on topic, very willing to help her students. Can spend a little too much time on some topics but not enough on others. I would recommend just buying the MyPsychLab without the textbook because it comes with an eBook.

Overall she's a good professor. She loves abnormal psychology and is very knowledgeable in the subject. Print out the slides and take notes. If you miss class you're screwed she doesn't talk from her power points, she gives you a lot of info but the way she teaches is great. Her tests are relatively easy, if you pay attention and read the text you'll do great!!

Exam reviews are a waste of time! They are an easy 10 points, but don't waste ANY time studying them, b/c she doesn't take a single question from them. Also, her lectures often conflict with the book, but it is necessary to study both, b/c she gives no clue whatsoever as to what is on the exam. If u can, steer clear!

One of my favorite teachers I have ever had. She is so smart and knows so much about the subject. She teachers well and her class is not just powerpoints she actually talks about things in more detail. You have to read the book to do well on the tests and its not an easy class but thats what I like. I look forward to going to this class everyday.

THE BEST. She's strict, but only for student's best interest. Helpful. Kind. VERY Knowledgable. Active in the Department (Chairperson). Fair. Pretty easy exams (just read through notes from lecture). VERY Interesting. She welcomes questions and comments. I recommend her for Abnormal (AMAZING CLASS!) as well as any course she teaches. Love Her!

VERY good teacher. I'm tired of all these people saying it was hard. Did you expect college to be easy? Anyways, 200 & below tests are 50 multi 90% lecture 10% book. 300 & up are 30 multi and 1 essay same ratio. Shes intro. an online quiz recently thats takes off the book from tests. LOVE these classes and she clearly knows what she's teaching.

I had Dr. Sanftner for many classes, and I have mixed feelings about her. As a professor, she doesn't like **** - go to class and read the book. If you're an underclassmen, she is unapproachable and intimidating. As long as you do it Dr. Sanftner's way, you'll be fine. In other words, it's her way or the highway.

The class is interesting but her tests are really difficult and it is def not an easy A! She tries to trick you on purpose because as she says "there are more than one correct answer so pick the best one!" You HAVE to read the book because much of her test questions are exactly from the book. She is nice, but if she does not like you she shows it!!

DO NOT TAKE HER. She is not a nice person and I can't imagine how on earth she can be a psychologist. She's cold-hearted and when you go to her for help she makes you feel like the dumbest person on the planet. Her classes are all boring and hard. She needs to realize she is teaching undergrads, not grad. students. Awful professor.
