Dr. Carter is very caring, and she tries to make every lecture worth your while. We always laugh and have fun in class. It is always clear what she wants out of every assignment. If you come to class and keep up with your assignments (there aren't too many), you will have no issues at all!

Dr. Carter is an excellent professor who is always willing to work with students who need help. She is easily reachable outside of class and is very friendly. She is a tad weird, but it's the good weird.

This class is based on four to five grades, which are harshly graded even after multiple attempts at feedback to improve. Dr. Carter is a smart and interesting woman, but her teaching style is better one to one than in lecture. Her reasons for grading are vague and I hadn't seen anyone with an A (and this was an honors class)

On a scale of Gideon Lockheart to Albus Dumbledore, Dr. Carter is Professor Dumbledore. She is amazing. TAKE HER CLASSES! She has a great sense of humor and makes her classes interesting for everyone.

Dr. Carter is a wonderful, caring, down-to-earth teacher who really wants her students to do well in the classroom. For multiple assignments, we were able to resubmit drafts before the final was due a month or two later. She livens things up with her sarcasm and one should ask her about her view on plagiarism! :)

Catherine Carter is an incredible teacher. She makes English actually interesting. She has a great sense of humor as well. She is extremely helpful and willing to work things out with you if you are struggling. She is a very understanding woman, but her class is far from being easy. If you want a great professor, you can't go wrong with Dr. Carter.

Amazing teacher! Hard but knows what she is taking about and uses humor to liven the class. Expected to participate and work hard, she has no time to slackers and ignorance. She cares about her students and will not hesitate to lead you down the path of Gin drinking, crack addiction and prostitution.

Dr. Carter is AMAZING!!!!!!! she's so much fun and she's sooo funny!! she really does care about her students learning and makes sure she does everything she can to help her students out. her class was so much fun, my favorite so far in my college career! i love her and, if you take her, YOU will too!!!

I just LOVE this woman! She is a talented writer, funny and loves to teach. She has a great sense of humor and a great taste in literature and does not shy away from controvercial and "taboo" subjects. It is great to think that there are professors out there who will take chances and who is not afraid to talk about gender, race or sex. It is great. TAKE HER!!! You have to read b/c she gives daily quizes but you can use your notes. Plus, she allows 3x5 index cards for some exams. It is awesome!
